Martyr

A martyr (Greek: μάρτυς, mártys, "witness"; stem μάρτυρ-, mártyr-) is somebody who suffers persecution and death for advocating, renouncing, refusing to renounce, or refusing to advocate a belief or cause as demanded by an external party. This refusal to comply with the presented demands results in the punishment or execution of the martyr by the oppressor. Originally applied only to those who suffered for their religious beliefs, the term is now often used in connection with people imprisoned or killed for espousing a political cause.

Most martyrs are considered holy or are respected by their followers, becoming symbols of exceptional leadership and heroism in the face of difficult circumstances. Martyrs play significant roles in religions. Similarly, martyrs have had notable effects in secular life, including specific figures such as Socrates, as well as in politics and Chinese culture.

Even I know there is a lot more to come from one aspect.

But what exactly is a martyr? And who decides at the end of the day

examples are
1. Jesus
2. suffragettes
etc

thing is I dont remember any of those two going a spree - oops Deluge aside and plagues of Egypt - oh dear did God(Jesus) start this all?

Where does mowing down your own kind, slaughtering 2 year old, rape, slavery. running over there heads with a sherman tank, shoving a stick of dynamite up their arse, etc, etc, come into all of this?

In short, would you die for your beliefs?

I'm someone who don't value life alot to start with. So it does not mean much to me, on "what would you die for?" Because I would die for nothing. It's probably a bigger sacrifice to people who value life.

And on top of that, if I choose to believe in "reincarnation" of Buddhism.

Death is just the beginning of a new life. Start over. That's it! Reset Button.

I almost wish that Buddhism can prove their theory is correct. That people reincarnate after death.

This way, there should be zero reason not to permit voluntary assisted suicide.

And recently, the hooha about the death penalty by Gorsuch.

Oh geez! I'm pro-death penalty. So I don't know why far left is kicking up a fuss about it.

But somebody needs to make death penalty cheaper in the US. The whole lethal injection and electric chair methods are two of the most expensive methods to kill somebody.

Can't they just do bullet to the head? Or Hanging? Both cheaper! Hanging is the cheapest! Just a rope. Doesn't cost much!

You have no concept of what martyrdom means to Muslims, what they are promised by their cult if they die killing infidels in the name of Allah

And how Muslim martyrs compare to other martyrs, what the differences are

And you are far too stupid to ever learn

The only problem with Muslims is, when they choose to kill themselves, they choose to take others with them! If only Martyrdom is them dying to actually save people, than to die for their own self-interest and rewards in heaven for it.
