You're betting on him winning the contest, or proving the more narcissistic and insecure egoist of the two?

Unless the pies are 'kim che pies' it is dumb don out in front on both. Now if the pies are 'kim che pies' the short guy may have a chance on the back stretch where he may be able to close the gap (due to his familiarity with the product) that dumb don will have gained because of his size advantage at the gate.

Unless the pies are prepared by the chefs at Mar-a-Lago, I don't think Trump would participate. And if the pies were prepared by Mar-a-Lago chefs, then Kim J. Un would declare an unfair advantage to Mr. Orange and refuse to participate. I simply don't see pie eating as being a viable solution.

A lot of people would find that sentiment itself naive.

Who among the "commoners" says "let's go start a war!"

Oil, tin & tungsten (Vietnam), control of global shipping routes . . .

Not to mention the fortune the US makes selling arms to both sides of conflicts.

FOX New is reporting that our main ally in the region, Japan, not only approves and applauds America's long needed and overdue leadership on this issue, but is joining in by sending two destroyers to accompany the Vincent

In spite of you and your hysterical false narrative

Would those be the two Japanese aircraft carriers I mentioned in the OP? That false narrative?

The one you just confirmed, while simultaneously calling it a "hysterical false narrative"?

Perhaps it's just a quibble, but it can be misleading to call them aircraft carriers. They don't carry any fixed wing aircraft, only helicopters. Yeah, I know, helicopters are "aircraft," but a helicopter ship isn't what comes to mind when people think of an aircraft carrier.

Japan's carriers are designated "helicopter destroyers." The newest is the Izumo, pictured below.

Not exactly what the average person thinks of as an aircraft carrier. Moreover...

There is no single definition of an "aircraft carrier," and modern navies use several variants of the type. These variants are sometimes categorized as sub-types of aircraft carriers, and sometimes as distinct types of naval aviation-capable ships....

Basic types
    Amphibious assault ship
    Anti-submarine warfare carrier
    Balloon carrier and balloon tenders
    Escort carrier
    Fleet carrier
    Flight deck cruiser
    Helicopter carrier
    Light aircraft carrier
    Sea Control Ship
    Seaplane tender and seaplane carriers
    Supercarrier
(note: some of the types listed here are not strictly defined as aircraft carriers by some sources)

Anyway. Not like the US alone couldn't take N. Korea and needs Japan and Australia to present a large enough deterrent.

Nor like N. Korea couldn't do some serious damage if it chose.

It's about who's crazy enough to go there.
