Police say they have foiled an active terror plot after a woman was shot during a raid on a house in Willesden, north-west London.

The 21-year-old woman was one of the subjects of the investigation and is in a serious but stable condition.

A raid also took place in Kent, with six people arrested in total.
Officers say the operation was not connected to an arrest near Parliament on Thursday, when a man was detained on suspicion of terror offences.

Police said the house in Harlesden Road, Willesden, which was raided on Thursday evening, had been under observation.

'Threats contained'
At about 19:00 BST, firearms officers entered the property. CS gas was sprayed and a woman was shot.
A 16-year-old boy, and a man and woman, both aged 20, were arrested. A 43-year-old woman was arrested in Kent.

Two further arrests were made in Willesden after a man and woman, both aged 28, returned to the raided property.

The police said the suspects had been arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of terrorist acts.

They are in custody at a south London police station.

Status: offline 		Was indeed - notice the lack of interest from bubbleverse land. They are quite good over here. they normally leave Scotland and Wales alone for now. Must be balanced with only certain targets are the holy grail and that comes ontop of the driver and the one from the other day and his two knives.

In my country, we have many of these type of reports where they claim they foil some Islamic terrorists plot, would have arrested the people involve, and then they would post on the media, what the plot was and what was being planned.

I don't know if UK will do the same and reveal their plot.

And I don't know if UK laws will prosecute these would be terrorists, if they haven't committed the plot yet.

But in my country, they are definitely gonna be jailed for simply plotting!

Because my understanding about US laws is, that, until the terrorist commit the actual terrorism act. Plotting is not a crime.

So like, basically that's so USA. They don't believe in prevention.

So technically, 9/11 terrorists, even if they were caught in plotting stage, nothing would happen to them. They seriously gotta crash into the twin towers to get in trouble.

Well, if they let the plotters off to continue new plottings. That's like wasted foiling. This just means they gotta waste more resources shadowing them to foil another terrorist plot constantly.

As these "plotters" increase in population, that is ALOT of resources shadowing all these "would be plotters".

Dissent is plotting.

The 911 terrorists are not who you think, but it made for a great religious war and persecution to wipe out another dissenting religion. Those towers were taken out with ANFO. LOL

yeh thats how mobs work to insure and maintain commercial security, the gubmints have become the same mobsters we used to arrest and throw in prison when I was a kid. Al Capone would be jealous! Seen the writing on the wall the growing use of 'euphemisms as 'law' and legal precedence.

Status: offline 		Well, you know in our country, we been like shutting down train stations for like abandoned luggage, and white powder being found on floor of train stations, to investigate that the items are not dangerous. We are taking Terrorism super seriously! And we are prosecuting all these people who littered the train station with chalk powder for example causing unnecessary alarm.

So yea, plotters are gonna get jailed for just plotting any potential plan to blow up anything.

Which is good, so maybe people will think twice before even plotting to blow up anything!

And those people who think it is okay to leave like potential bomb looking items or suspicious white substances lying around will also think twice before leaving it.

Paranoid, but it is our way. Prevention! Better than wait for occurrence, then act on it! Too late by then. Lots of dead people. And the whole point is to prevent innocent people from being killed by terrorists.

The United States does have laws against conspiracy to commit a crime, so basically everything in this thread is bullshit except for Wicked and Greta who are always delightful company.

Some of the stuff our security forces got up to in Ireland is only now trying to see the light of day after the 25-30 years rule..and some of that shit makes for disturbing reading.....i think they added another 25 years onto the one called Mark Thatcher - oh and some of the shit Maggie (thatcher) got up to is only now making the light of day.

Since we still got a zero terrorist attack record from the Muslim terrorists, and every plot has been foiled. So I guess zero!

We did incompetently allowed a potential Muslim Terrorist who's attack we foil escape from Prison though.

But he fled to Malaysia and Malaysian authorities caught him and sent him back to our prisons. And he actually made it to Malaysia because he wore the whole ninja suit masquerading as a Muslim woman. And at Malaysian customs, they don't expect you to unveil yourself. As they are respecting Muslim women modesty. I have always said that is our number 1 security risk! That Burka! With Malaysia and Singapore not bothering to force Burka wearers to unveil themselves.

The crazy thing is, he escaped through the toilet window. It's like, so typical movie escape. So it was serious incompetent of our Prison security to not seal toilet windows.

Smeaton, a baggage handler, was off duty when he saw the incident start to develop on 30 June 2007. He later recalled his first thoughts on being confronted by the two desperate suspects who drove a burning jeep filled with explosives into the airport entrance. He heard three explosions during his break: "What's the score? I've got to get this sorted."

He added "I thought, 'That's no right, ' and ran over to assist. All that was going through my mind was I've got to help the policeman, I'm not letting these guys get away with this."[5]

It was reported that Smeaton shouted "fuckin' mon, then" and aimed a kick in the testicles at Kafeel Ahmed, who later died from his 90% burns following the attack.[2][6]

During the incident Smeaton also helped drag Michael Kerr to safety after Kerr, another person to intervene in the event, had been left lying with a broken leg beside the burning jeep after kicking Mr Ahmed himself.[4]

The incident has been described as inspiring others to take personal initiative and act decisively in a crisis. Newsagent and former policeman Mohammed Afzah cited Smeaton as inspiration for his facing down and repelling a would-be armed robber.[7]

In late July, Smeaton returned to his old job as a baggage handler at the airport.[8] Later in the year he accepted a job as head of security at a nearby company.[9]

On 18 December 2007, it was announced that Smeaton was to be awarded the Queen's Gallantry Medal for his actions;[10][11] this was presented by the Queen at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace on 4 March 2008.

Well technically true blood born in Singapore pure Singaporeans are only 2.1 Million of us. The 5 million includes foreigners that work here. So we are practically gonna be an extinct species soon. Recently, we even had to merge 28 schools because there were not enough students to study in them! That's our declining birth rate. So yea, we're going extinct. Tiny country, and declining true blue population. Eventually, something else will take over the whole of Singapore.

You guys are going extinct just like us!

I consider "true blue" as Born in Scotland, Raise in Scotland.

Singapore population gain is actually actively going into China and offering Chinese people citizenship to come over and work, and raise families here. Of course they target only the scholars. People with top grades in school. But they weren't born here. And considering many Chinese people are so used to the one child policy, many already have kids when they move here, so I doubt they will be producing new generation of true blue Singaporeans.
