Oh, Jesus, Lucy... As much as I think you would be a fair Mod, are you really sure you'd want to volunteer after what "she who shall not be named" left in her wake? It's not just a question of the time consumption. It would be about cleaning up so much of the defecation that is in heaps and piles all over the floor.

FR Actually you cannot find out how much of an asshole someone is without giving them the freedom to express it. Like the scene in Harlem Nights where Quick gets some action with this great looking Black broad who worked for his enemy. She had a gun under the pillow and was supposed to kill him, sorta like a black widow I guess. He found it and unloaded it and when she went to shoot him, he shot her. Not before. If you moderate the shit out of everyone, deleting and banning all over the place, we will never know who the assholes really are. Like the election of Trump, if nothing else it brought out all the craziness and intolerance of the liberals, who happen to preach tolerance. They taught us that they only preach tolerance, but do not live by it. Let them have their freedom, close down more speeches at universities and kidnap more special needs people. Keep it up and show us what fucking scum you are. And if one of us normal people shoots them in their empty head, then they got a reason to be scared of guns. The people most scared of guns are the ones who need to be shot. Does that make sense ? Really, the lack of moderation here has made the place a bit of a mess, but at least we know who make the mess. Personally, I am not sure I would change anything. We got thompsonx with his unbridled and unfounded insults, and we got Ron (mnottertai) who spews bullshit all the time, perhaps out of both of them one post out of twenty is something that contributes to the discussion, but we know who they are. All in all, most people are civil. Some do call each other stupid at times but we only have two really who are so stupid as to call everyone else stupid. Almost every post. Could put them on ignore which I am sure some people here have, but I would rather fuck with their heads. Smart people do not call other people stupid. But they will call them assholes. T^T

Just a mod thread is in P&R doesn't make it a political thread. (Seriously, can we stop talking about Trump for a dang minute?) "She who shall not be named" never had what it took to keep up with this section. I don't think she had the mental ability. Certain (m)ds who worked under her did, but that wasn't her area of expertise. Anyway... I do think Lucy would be a good Mod. She could put herself aside. RS could be a good Mod. There are a couple of former Mods that are still posters that would do a good job, too. Bita? Totally. Winnie? Definitely. Crazyml. Yep.

yeh but I'd the best mod of all, if it not libel, spam, or illegal its good to go. LOL I have only been on one board where the mods have actually been pretty damn good, and that is rare, they even reposted something once when I proved they were wrong, most mods however simply do what mods do best give you the big fuck you get over it, no matter how fucked up their decisions are. you all talking about mod 3 from like 12-13 years ago

I can give you a list of boards that lost most of their members because of overmoderation. undermoderation is always better. Overmoderation also grossly favors posers who fake intellectual ignorance to get their opponents banned. Some boards have gone to a dual mod standard much like here in politics. They have a section where you can trash the fuck out of each other, and you would be shocked to discover that most people wind up there, so then when they want to have a discussion about a sensitive topic with more formal rules they go to holding hands section instead. PR is rough turf, its the same on all boards.

This place used to be moderated by unreasonable people who appeared on the far left and who used to play favourites. Such like feminists used to get away with calling me names but if I dared to call one a "hypocrite" I would get punished. Feminists/leftists used to hijack my threads with the "what are you doing about it" tactic. So once I played the same game in one of Lucy's feminist threads. I got moderated for asking her what she's doing about it and my post was removed. I really hope this place doesn't go back to its old ways.
