ORIGINAL: heavyblinker Leakers aren't reporters, genius. And Obama was talking about classified information that could get people killed (the article you linked to specifially states 'related to National Intelligence'), not reports from disgruntled employees frustrated by his incompetence. If you agree that we should punish leakers of classified intelligence, then Trump himself should be thrown in jail for what he just told the Russians. Trump is the President and has the right to do what he did. From your own quoted article: Brennan said Trump made a “serious mistake” when he reportedly shared sensitive intelligence with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, in an Oval Office meeting in early May. But this mistake wasn’t sharing intelligence; it was violating the protocol for doing so. “I shared intelligence with the Russians when I was the director of the CIA,” Brennan said. “But you share that through intelligence channels, and you make sure you word it in such as way as to not reveal sources and methods. President Trump didn’t do that.” He has the right to direct the intelligence be shared, and there is a proper way to do it, but how and when he did it not only jeopardized a source of future intelligence but could easily jeopardize Americans in the field. The fact that you Trump puppets cannot understand that even if he is President, he still is required to follow procedure. I mean you people went batshit crazy when Obama ordered a drone strike that killed an American citizen that was broadcasting pro Al Qaeda videos and supporting Al Qaeda in Yemen. something about arrest, trial, sentencing etc, you know, PROCEDURE. So, if a democrat president steps outside procedure it is wrong, but a republican can do it? Suggest you look up the term hypocrite.
