Christ, the man basically stated a belief (I think) that a political figure was being paid by a Foreign leader.
"I think" is not a statement of belief, and could easily be sarcasm (example above). All you've done here is to put a fish on your hook, slip it into the water, and then reel it in crying, "Look everybody! Look what I caught!"

It's not a difficult thing to understand a real statement of belief compared to unkowning whimsy, sarcasm, or humor, for instance. If you weren't such a ideologue it would have been an easy question to ask and answer yourself.
