They don't love them that much. From what I have gleaned this issue is part of why Brexit passed.
Many times such agreements are passed off as tade deals, but the EU interferes with immigration and all sorts of things. For example some countries don't want Monsanto poison in their soil. Actually Ukraine was one of them. Well Monsanto went to the EU, supposedly "going over their head". Another fun fact is that the federal government cannot legalize pot because of a treaty.
Speaking of which, if the treaty said no more import and export of it fine, but that should not affect domestically grown bud. Likewise, I think if pot does not cross state line the federal government should stay out of it. But statehood was sold as one thing and now they found out it means a whole different thing. They also found out that you can never get out of the deal, unlike the EU.
Same way with some weapons treaty the democrats wanted. The 2hd amendment crowd thought there were clauses in there hidden that would affect domestic gun laws and thus opposed it. I don't blame them one bit.
Just like the story about the republicans working on a bill to strip certain benefits from the handicapped, that was added into another bill.
With this "We haveto pass it to see what's in it" statement that should have gotten that person the gallows, we have every reason not to trust the government.
And we have every reason not to trust their vetting procedure. Like asking high school kids how many smoked pot. You are not getting a true answer, you are getting the answer to another question, namely, "Who is stupid enough to admit smoking pot ?". Same with the US CA border we have found ouyt as well huh ?
i wish they would just do NOTHING. They fuck upp everything they do. They took the lead out of TVs and put mercury in the lightbulbs. They wrecked our old flourescent tubes with their high efficiency "darks" because you can't call the lights, not paying attention to the fact that they do not last and there are costs, both monetary and environmental involved in manfacturing more of them. They probsbly figure that is stimulating the economy, fucking idiots.
And the LAST thing we need is to sign treaties when it comes to the environment.
What makes any countries take these people ? Give them guns and send them back.
And the conditions ? What did they expect, stdio apartments with wifi ?
A buddy of mine was working at one of those centers where they give away stuff to immigrants and whatnot. Upon picking up a free computer the person complained it was not a flat monitor. The offices at the place didn't even have flat monitors yet !
I'd make the conditions so fucking bad they want to go back.
