Fully accept that "neutral" was a bad choice of words. I should have said that even those with no direct connection with the politics of the Philippines think that he is a murdering tyrant.

I can understand people thinking that he has done some good things but so did Al Capone. Point is you don't have to be one of his enemies to think that Duterte is pretty dodgy at best.

There are those of us who make a distinction between Muslims in general and Islamic extremists who engage in terrorist murder. That is a very different thing to endorsing terrorism or allowing it to happen.

The Police in the UK have moved ruthlessly against all those associated with the Manchester bomber, whilst Police chiefs have appealed for community unity and tolerance towards all faiths in our community. There have been displays today on the streets of many UK cities of people declaring themselves "Muslims against Islamic Extremism".

Having a hard line against terror doesn't have to mean persecuting Muslims.

I'm aware of what you are saying but I don't agree with you.

Getting on with life is the very essence of standing up to terrorists and demonstrating that they have not won.

And there has never been a police force anywhere in the world which can completely prevent terrorist acts in public places.
