ORIGINAL: Kirata I never said that anything was "OK," but if people want to think that their group is special, "chosen," or whatever else, I'm not going to play the "thought crime" game. You two can toss that ball around by yourselves. Yarmulke-wearing guys work at the grocery store and run the registers and bag groceries, stock the shelves, take out trash, like the WAPS and Muslims and African-derived Americans they work along side. Where, pray tell, do you ever see anything like people thinking they are 'special' and acting as such, in real life? In our world immediately before us? The media (including the laughingly referred to as 'leftist media' by the ignorant and clueless) make their living off of expertise in button-pushing and "Hot Takes!" What I see before me in the real world and what the media tell me I'm supposed to see are two different worlds, and I'll take mine over theirs any day. Which is why I ignore that mess of melodramatic miasma to begin with. The Jews said they are 'The Chosen," the Islamists say they are the chosen, The Protestants, showing great humility before God (fuck the rest of God's creation), merely state that they are entitled to 90%, as much as they can get it. The human notion of and considered expression of piety comes in so many different and interesting ways.
