JLF, all that shit about conspiracies and all that is indeed bullshit. People like that have neither the time or inclination to get involved in such petty squabbles.
Anyway, the Rothschild family has been purported to be simple textile merchants. I'm sure the dabbled in it, in fact they dabble in many things. They were the pioneers of international banking, and for sure they own shares in the federal reserve. I am sure they also have holdings in many central banks of many countries. Many wars are fought because the international bankers want control over their currency, but it is not necessarily the Rothschilds themselves instigating such things. While the US attacked Iraq because Saddam switched to the euro, the Rothschoilds really couldn't care less. When Qadhaffi all the sudden became a threat, it was because his Africa gold dinar would have hurt the US dollar. Again, the Rothschilds could not care less.
So the wealth of this family of humble textile merchants has been estimated by Credit Suisse at $230 trillion dollars. That is trillion folks. (and of all the estimates, that is the most conservative one with which I am familiar) But bear in mind but bear in mind it is not all sitting in one place. The Rothschilds (or their patriarch at the time) figured there would be many wars and that carrying gold all over the world so they sent family members to settle in different parts of the world. Then, when payments needed to be made it was a simple matter of a letter with a certain mark or signature on it. Quite logical because of you are a target (having a big box of gold will do that) every mile you travel increases your risk of getting robbed. They laid low and transported the gold when nobody was expecting it and kept most of it. They were the forerunners of the IMF.
The current head of the family is Evelyn de Rothschild. (male BTW) Not sure where he resides, these people have houses all over the place. One of them is purported to have written "Silent Weapons For Secret Wars" which draws an analogy between commerce and an electrical circuit, with capital represented by capacitance, labor as inductance and taxes and overhead as resistance. Something like that. It was supposedly found in a Xerox copying machine coming off lease. The whole version is not available online as far as I can see, I have actual paper copies. What the online excerpts mostly lack is the hand drawn formulae which look quite like the ones used in electronic design. Whoever wrote it was familiar with both electronics and economy. You have to have a bit more than a basic understanding of both to actually understand the thing.
The Rothschilds did do a few dastardly things over the centuries, they lied about the outcome of a war and bought up a bunch of war bonds cheap and made a fortune. But now, they inherited that money and just invest it. Granted, by selective investing and speculating they can affect events, but mostly they just want to effect their gains. As far as JFK, they could not care less about EO1110 or whatever, the loss would be a drop in the bucket. The US could not AFFORD to print enough debt free dollars to have any major impact. Fact is, Israel was the impetus behind the assassination, the Rothschilds no doubt just sat back and watched.
Everyone thinks that people that rich have to be totally evil and are bent on world domination. Well they do have a hell of alot to do with money, but do you see any influence in that direction ? I see the US in that direction. Of course the Rothschilds have had their hands in some nastiness in the past, but just like the old "mafia" (which never existed) they go straight, or into government. However I see none of the Rothschilds seeking public office. (family name is actually Maher, Rothschild means "red shield") As far as I know they might actually not be Citizens of any country, why would they bother ?
People who use faulty, oversimplistic logic to "debunk" stories about the family often try this "There has never been that much gold mined" bullshit. First of all, there is no way in hell anyone could know that, on top of the fact that they seem to think wealth is gold. People as smart as the Rothschilds know that gold is useless. It is other people wanting that gold that makes it worth something. It is nothing but a medium of exchange, nothing more than a special seashell. (which used to be used for money eons ago)
As far as my sources forget it. The list would look like the bibliography of an encyclopedia. Suffice it to say that family is not much in the limelight and they like it that way. Like the Bilderbergs, the existence of which was largely unknown until an alternative newspaper got the goods on them years ago, they stay out of the public eye. Now that they have been exposed they get protests and all that at their meetings. Who the hell wants that ? I would do the same. They probably home school, and if they do send any of their kids to school it is likely under an alias.
If you want confirmation of any of this you will have to piece it together yourself just as I did. Warning : It will take years.
