Trucks are nice! Maybe in a few years when Ford learns how to make them get 50 mpg I'll buy another one!
I love the Mercury though. Nice riding, very comfortable!

WOOF, stef!! I used to have a 1990 Yamaha FZR1000.

Now I'm trying to stay awake in my '96 Lexus ES300. Actually, it's not too bad. It hauls ass and handles pretty well for a front-driver.

LT

I think I'm in love....with your truck[:D]

I can't believe it hasn't quite been a year since I lost my dad's 1967 GMC pick-up with a 350 V6. Up hill, down hill, loadeed or empty it got 7 mpg. Pistons were as big as a coffee can. It was 80% restored and was making a nice hit on the local car show circuit called cruises. Then Katrina came to town. I had to leave it behind and eventually was stolen.

Now, thanks to FEMA, I'm drivin g a '98 GMC Sierra Van fully loaded. I added keyless entry. I can get 15-25 mpg depending on how fast I drive and the direction of the wind. It's VERY windy in OK. I use my cruise control to stay at 62.5 mph. At 70 the mpg goes out the window.

Hey I just saw a rig on TV the other day that used 150 gals. to the mile. That's not a typo. Of course it was moving a 3000 TON building[:D]

I remember those '67 GMC's.
Yup, BIG engines but gas was .28 cents per gallon in those days.

nefertari -> RE: What kind of vehicle do you drive? (8/8/2006 7:41:44 PM)

2001 Kia Optima .  My 11th vehicle and worst purchase ever.  I'm going back to Honda after this one.

I did drive my baby, a 2003 Silver Pontiac Vibe... I called her my "pocket rocket"....

Due to an illness, I lost her..but she is still my baby, no matter who owns her now.

zumala -> RE: What kind of vehicle do you drive? (8/9/2006 1:45:49 PM)

We drive a 2002 green Honda Civic.  Good gas mileage and it's kept together well.  Rolled over a hundred thousand miles just two days ago.  Here's to another hundred thousand.

I drive a maroon Lincoln Navigator.  Grey interior, completely loaded, heated/air conditioned seats, moon/sun roof, GPS, Retractable running boards, DVD player.  Love the ride, but gas mileage sucks.

Yang4yin -> RE: What kind of vehicle do you drive? (8/18/2006 1:47:06 PM)

My usual drive is a 1998 Saturn SC2. It's nimble and very easy on the gas.

My first car, which I still have and rarely gets driven these days, is a 1965 Ford Mustang.

girl4you2 -> RE: What kind of vehicle do you drive? (8/18/2006 3:35:22 PM)

excellent choice for a first car

i drive a sedate blend in car that turns into a giant marshmallow in case of accidents

Majik -> RE: What kind of vehicle do you drive? (8/18/2006 3:55:35 PM)

'85 Caddy Coupe Deville. I am in the process of restoring it. It WAS my sons but he ran it to the ground. Now its mine. Runs good now that i've got the engine mostly done but is hell on gas milage.

xhoneyx -> RE: What kind of vehicle do you drive? (8/18/2006 4:30:33 PM)

i WISH i drove..i live in los angeles and it's SOOO hard to get around without a car..but i somehow manage with the public transportation and my two trusty legs..

mistressdevine50 -> RE: What kind of vehicle do you drive? (8/19/2006 8:14:16 AM)

it's a '92 subaru with 89.000 miles the second time around. it leaks between the roof and windshield ( bathtub caulking fixed that) , the gas cap is held on by a hello kitty shoelace glued to the cap and tied to the car so I don't lose it, and the door is held closed by duct tape. duct
