Can't get this to link, but it is easy to look up. Google man shot while trying to drown his twins. At least one news service though it was important that the shooter was white. Cash Freeman was at home when a 12 year old who was visiting (apparently) Ran to his house claiming that Leland Foster was going to hurt the neighbors. Freeman went next door to check it out. When he got there Foster was holding a knife on the mother and holding the two 3 month old childrens head under water. Freeman shot him and killed him. Though he saved at least two lifes he made a series of mistakes. 1 He didn't circle Foster so that the bulletts came from the right direction thinking that the 3 month olds might not hold there breath that long. 2 He didn't wait for the police, again because he didn't realize the kids could hold their breath. 3 And worst of all he was white so he wouldn't even have seen a reason do get envolved if Foster had been white. The grandparents (her parents, no Fosters) thought Freeman did the right thing, but they had been through a trumatic expereance. To me it doesn't make any difference what race any of them were but to at least one news service the race of the people seems to be important.

Well, your sketchy details (which should be as good as a regular media source) leave a few questions unanswered. There are times when shooting in the back is clearly justified under the law. Like what happened to my buddy, a guy stole one of his guns and was running out the door. My buddy went in to jail for 72 hours pending investigation and was then released. No charges and the6y gave his gun back, and this was before castle law. Also, at least in Ohio, if you kill someone while they are committing a felony you are off the hook. The law seems to read that they are guilty of their own murder. Any death that happens here during the commission of a felony is first degree murder. The means if you re robbing a store and some old geezer has a heart attack you can be charged with first degree murder. There is no solution. People in other countries just say go or the socialistic life, give up the guns and I guess beat their plowshares into swords. All we can do is take it on a case to case basis. There are a million different stories, and maybe a third of the are true. T^T

T^T He was holding the heads of two 3 month olds heads underwater that pretty much ends the discussion as far as I am concerned. Sorry there is little info but the only thing I left out was that Foster was convicted in 2011 of strangling his gf and burning her stuff.... inside her apartment.

If questions are unanswered it is possible I wasn't clear and would be happy to try to clear them up. It does disturb me that at least one source thought the race of the people involved was relevant.

FR The 12 year old was Sorrell's (the mother) niece. Foster seems, according to Sorrels , that she was breaking up with him and he snapped. The good news is that the authorities say they don't think they are going to prosecute. It wouldn't seem to make sense to prosecute with the only witness calling Freeman a hero.

Unless there is more to this story, I can't imagine why they would prosecute. I hope the babies don't remember what happened. Headlines are meant to grab attention. Current racial tensions make race an attention grabber. It is reprehensible, but much of what people seem to latch on to and lap up is the reprehensible. This Global network of information has made the world seem so small and mankind so ridiculously insane. I'm pretty sure I'd be stabbed, before I let anyone hurt my babies.

She fought Foster to save the babies right up till Freeman showed up. Both babies came home from the hospital and are doing fine.
