Yeah, let's just ignore that he was the director of the FBI and Trump's 'friend' was under investigation.
That has absolutely no bearing here.
The 'loyalty' thing definitely had nothing to do with it-- he was just reminding him of something meaningless.

Comey is obviously just mad.

You're a real winner, Nnanji.

Thanks HB. Coming from you that's a real compliment. Really, it is.

Why don't you make a 'heavy drinker' joke?
Those are funny because 'drinker' rhymes with 'blinker'.
It actually helps you to seem like the smart person you wish you were.

Or wait... maybe you're not the one who does that.
Ah well, you're kind of all the same anyways.

Listening to the proceedings, I'm seriously stunned at how much of a fucking yellow-belly this guy sounds like. He just basically said he was scared when Trump cleared the oval office to have a private conversation with him. It's almost as if he forgot he was the head of the fucking FBI. No wonder he got shit-canned.

Comey: I leaked FBI memos to reporters.
Congress: Why did you get fired?

There was no issue until he was a disgruntled ex-employee bent on revenge

Senator: "Do FBI personnel have an obligatioin to report felonies?"
Former FBI Freaking Director: "Gee, good question. I am totally clueless..."

So what, we're just supposed to trust that Trump the scumbag liar and the GOP would do the right thing?

He did it because forcing a special prosecutor was the only way to make sure Trump couldn't kill the investigation.

How can anyone possibly be so naïve?

Dershowitz: Trump Could Have Just Pardoned Flynn [VIDEO]

Famed Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz shot down claims of obstruction of justice Wednesday, telling CNN’s Anderson Cooper that presidents have the right to start or stop any investigation.

Dershowitz said that, constitutionally, a president may direct an intelligence agent to stop an investigation. The “best proof” of that fact, he says, is that Trump could’ve easily pardoned former national security advisor Michael Flynn and the entire investigation would have been over anyway.

“Trump could have told Comey, ‘You are commanded, you are directed, to drop the prosecution against Flynn.’ The president has the right to do that,” he explained. “Remember also what the president could’ve done. He could’ve said to Comey, ‘Stop this investigation, I am now pardoning Flynn. That’s what President Bush did.”

Dershowitz cited the case of Caspar Weinberger, who was pardoned by George H.W. Bush before he could be tried in relation to the Iran-Contra scandal.

and thats correct and the nutsucker Nixon did it and was headed for impeachment until the other sackless cowardly snowflake nutsuckers provided him a safe space. I remember when Derschowitz was communism to the commie felchgobbling nutsuckers, but thats another day...

Again, I will repeat this, because it bears repeating....this aint an 18 USC issue, it is constitution and politics all the way.

More:

quote:

“You cannot have obstruction of justice when the President exercises his constitutional authority to pardon, his constitutional authority to fire the director of the FBI, his constitutional authority to tell the director of the FBI who to prosecute, who not to prosecute,” Dershowitz elaborated.

“You don’t believe he was trying to influence of impede any possible or further investigation into Flynn?” Cooper asked.

“What I’m telling you is that even if he did want it to impede it, and even if he did impede it, that is his constitutional power. He has the right to say, ‘You will not investigate Flynn.'”

WATCH:

Gerald Ford wasn't "obstructing justice" either, as he pardoned Nixon for anything and everything and for nothing at all

So you don't actually care whether or not he was trying to kill the investigation, all you care about is that he's the president, which means he can do whatever he wants.

Your side decided on impeachment the moment President Trump won and has been trying to use a big hammer to make every square peg fit that round hole since then

So... Asking nicely that the guy who Comey agreed was a good man be left alone, when the president has the power to pardon - is the biggest nothingburger you fools have come up with yet

The worst thing Flynn did was lie to the vice president

Literally

The Logan Act has never been enforced in 200 years, and you wild-eyed fanatics act like it's the end of the world. Comey said today that Flynn was never suspected of helping "the Russians" hack anything, and no such suspicions are warranted to his knowledge

I agree with Derschowitz. Unfortunately we are talking constitution, not 18 USC.

Except when he writes memos as the FBI employee as soon as he signs it, it is not "his" memo, it belongs to the government. There is no "HIS OWN" memo. All he had to do to force a special prosecutor was to stand up, while the FBI Director, and say something. He didn't, the memos don't belong to him. He had no honor while an employee and now he's simply a disgruntled fired employee who is showing he has no honor, only self agrandization.

'Your side' that is the nutsuckers decided on impeachment before Hillary won, lets be clear on that. They decided on impeachement *twice* when Obama won, lets be clear on that.

Flynn will not be charged under the Logan Act. Way to much low-hanging fruit for pissing around with that scrap. If you think he is begging for immunity from prosecution of the Logan Act, your hysterical pantshitting nutsucker cartoonism just lowered the bar again, for retard.

As I said, before Trump fired him, he had no reason to believe that the investigation wouldn't proceed smoothly... so no need for a special prosecutor.
Afterwards, he had every reason to suspect that Trump was taking steps to kill it.

I just wanted to make sure the poster I was quoting understood that they weren't just ordinary FBI memos... so yeah, thanks for the unnecessary explanation, dipshit.

What in those memos is classified? Nutsuckers do something unconstitutional, unethical, perhaps illegal and hid behind 'you leaked'? Well, ignoring you being a troll with reality and anger issues, may I point out that the WAPO didn't get the memo from Comey, they got it from some FBI agent going into a government file, pulling out the memo, calling the media on the phone.

http://nypost.com/2017/06/08/comey-said-he-had-a-friend-leak-memo-from-trump-meeting/

Comey knew it wasn't "His" memo and relied on a leak as a favor. He's admitting it now because it's obvious and he has to explain it somehow. I'm sure his statement, now, that he wanted to ensure a special prosecutor is not nearly as underhanded as his whole affair would seem...well, not seem, is otherwise.
