Layoffs happen when business slows down. The real thing to look at is whether or not a corresponding number of workers are hired at some offshore Carrier facility.

Corporations don't really give a shit who is president or who is in congress as long as they live by the corporate culture of America and vote accordingly. Get over it kinkroids, Living in a plutocracy (money really talks) Govt. in bed with 'corporate America' will do things only in their short and long term interest and almost always against the public will. The only interest in jobs is economic. (profits) Politics and politicians exist only to be used and exploited for further economic benefits. (profits)
