Musicmystery -> Pence's own email scandal -- at taxpayer's expense (6/19/2017 10:11:20 AM)

Mike Pence is charging $100,000 to the citizens of Indiana to make up for his Clintonesque email problems. Yes, the vice president himself, who stood right behind Trump at the “lock her up” rallies, is being forced to submit to over 50 records requests for government-related emails that he sent over his private server. And, like the Clinton case, Pence’s emails were apparently hacked into sometime before he joined Trump’s campaign. So, Pence is spending the state of Indiana’s money to hire lawyers to sort through all his mishandled communications. But don’t worry, a Pence spokesman has assured us there’s no hypocrisy issue here, as Pence didn’t hold an important position like Secretary of State at the time, merely Governor of Indiana.

Repubs are never hypocrites. Just like when Powell and Rice had private servers when they were at state.

Try to calm down, you are still hysterical over more fake news

Hillary violated Freedom Of Information Act laws. While SoS of "the most transparent administration ever" she went to great lengths to keep her communications illegally hidden away from accountability and sunshine laws

She wiped a server that was under subpoena, she smashed a cellphone with a hammer (or had those things done)\

Governor Pence violated no laws, hid nothing. It was perfectly legal for him to use any email server he wanted to use

Alt left radicals (probably paid by George Soros) are causing the expenses by demanding the correspondence, and the former governor is handling the state-level issue according to law

On this recent thread, five out of five of your posts are obsessive personal attacks against myself, because you are incapable of addressing a topic. The only thing that matters to you, is me

Five of my posts are on topic, directly or indirectly. Two of them are me responding to personal attacks from mindless little trolls such as yourself

Musicmystery -> RE: Pence's own email scandal -- at taxpayer's expense (6/19/2017 11:21:54 AM)

That you actually perceive yourself as on topic is sadder still.

You came out swinging attacks. You got answered.

Poor snowflake.

Want to be on topic? Let's talk about Indiana paying for Pence's defense.

I made a harmless observation about the incident, and the news coverage. Nothing derogatory in any way about anyone or anything.

Does he have a purpose

Oi boscox do you have a purpose?

SunDominant -> RE: Pence's own email scandal -- at taxpayer's expense (6/19/2017 11:41:12 AM)

It is different in that Pence used AOL, not his own personal server. It is the same in that all his governmental email should have been sent using his government account, not a private one. The information may not have been Federally classified, or even sensitive, but common sense would dictate that government business should not be conducted using a private account. None of my companies allow the use of private accounts for business, and governmental entities have the same policies.

Federal laws mandate preserving and safeguarding communications, which Hillary violated federal sunshine and security laws in a most grievous manner

The article cited says nothing about such records laws in Indiana. To stretch this into a similar scandal as Hillary's is desperate and childish

jlf1961 -> RE: Pence's own email scandal -- at taxpayer's expense (6/19/2017 11:46:55 AM)

As much as I hate to agree with Bosco (I am sure this act is going to get me struck by lightning from the gods) he is quite correct.

The first problem with H. Clinton was not actually the private email server (if anyone took time to read the facts) but that the email server in question failed to meet the minimum security requirements as set by government regulations for any server being used for communications which could be considered high security.

The second problem was that the 'private' server was being partially paid for by government funds which meant that it should have been set up for the proper security measures

Then of course she deleted a large amount of data after being asked to turn it over.

Now, going with the same logic as I have used against President Trump, you do not do something that would hinder an investigation UNLESS you have something to hide.

i.e you do not delete gigabytes (closer to terabytes) of data unless there is something there you do not want seen

and you do not fire an FBI director who is investigating a former aid unless you think there may be something that might bite you on the ass.

I have always maintained that Hilary was unsuitable as president for her choice to remain with a cheating asshole like good 'ol Bill out of political appearance
, and that her and his business dealings were questionable at best (remember how long it took for the pair to put their business dealings in a blind trust when Bill took office, they had a shit ton of stock in health insurance companies, which was sold short AFTER Bill announced his ideas for health care overhaul, they made a fortune and then put it in a blind trust.)

Which brings me to the truth of American politics, it has nothing to do with political party, but the simple fact is that every fucking elected jackass or jenny is a corrupt, dishonest individual with the moral fiber of a weasel in a hen house.

Which then illustrates the truth about those Americans that defend them so vehemently, the P. T. Barnum quote applies, "there is a sucker born every minute" to which I must add that 99.9999999% of the suckers are American Republican and Democrat voters.

The issue, though, is the cost to Indiana taxpayers.

Do any of you actually know what a private server is? (it was probably safer-more secure) But nothing is truly safe.

Why is he orange anyway?

And what did she delete jeff do you think? I agree Bill cost her as well as Comrade trump and his buds in the Kremlin...over looking the logistical nonsense of "her" 25 000 emails

WickedsDesire -> RE: Pence's own email scandal -- at taxpayer's expense (6/19/2017 12:00:18 PM)

And that reminds me boscox they declared trumps twat account property of the USA

Why does he use his own one anyway is the official one not good enough for him?

The issue, though, is the cost to Indiana taxpayers.

The government always pays when it, or an employee, is sued. Otherwise nothing would ever get done, as opposed to nearly nothing getting done.

For instance, in the county in which I live, the elected officials have a policy that they pay off any lawsuit for under $50,000 without examining it because it's cheaper than defending against a lawsuit.

If you're not aware that such things happen all of the time, you're just an idiot.
