dsalphabunny -> submissive to Him (7/27/2006 7:59:32 AM)

i was curious, when looking around i find lots and lots of people 'in the lifestyle x years' or the 'i knew all my life i was a sub' etc etc.
my Husband and i have played with stuff as kink quite often through most of O/our 8 years of marriage, but untill He brought me the idea of trying for a 24/7 relationship it hadn't been anything that had ever occured to me.  now W/we are in a slow exploration stage, reworking the entire dynamic of O/our relationship, finding out what works for U/us, and i love it.  parts of it are really hard, and i sometimes fall into the 'why do i have to?' stage when asked to do something, but that is breaking old habbits.  it is just that this is not anything that had ever occured to me before as something that i could like... i'm a total controle freak.
are there others out there like me?

[sm=wave.gif]I was.  My Husband and I have been together for nine years.  We have two children and one more on the way.  We have, for years, been involved with play of that sort in the bedroom.  It just gradually grew that way.  He has always been a very strong willed controling person.  I have always loved that about him.  I have always felt a need I could never understand.  He came to me and told me this was the type of relationship He wanted.  I was resistant to the 24/7 at first, doing the same, why do I have to type thing.  He had never been a Dom before, so it took a little while, but He finally put his foot down, took complete control over me, and made me submit to him completely.  It was exactly what I needed.  I have never been happier, more secure or felt as safe in my entire life.  It was the most rewarding and wonderful thing we have ever done!!!  Most people that know about this relationship I have with my Husband look at me like I have three eyes, both because of the relationship LOL and the fact that I am such a strong willed person as well.  I am the, dont f*ck with me or I will f*ck you up type of person.  I dont  take anyones crap, and everyone knows it LOL  My dads girlfriend knows, and she doesnt understand it.  She always looked at me as the dom type not the sub type.  I am just glad that He saw me in there, and brought me out.  I guess the moral of the story is, learn, and grow together, and discover yourselves, and you will never be happier!!!  Congrats to you both, and good luck!!![sm=applause.gif]

Actually, the majority of subs are control freaks and people pleasers.  That's part of why they like Ds so much- SUBS are the ones who want all the rules and rituals and consequences, they want things ordered and controlled and organized and structured- they thrive on it.  They make themselves responsible for others pleasure, they feel THEY are the ones who have to make it perfect and right and are devastated when it is not.

What LA says is pretty accurate. I used to be a massive control freak, I did learn to calm down a little bit after i had a mini me, but really, i like to know when, where, how.

I would have my holidyas for the year booked and planned by the middle of January, and my Christmas shopping was usually done by August.

I had lists of what needed to be done and when, what I needed to have before hand etc.

A change in plans at the last minute was stressful.

I have learned to relax alot and trust that other people are capable in doing things as well. It's so nice to be able to give up control of some aspects of your life to another. Very freeing and liberating [:)]

edited because i obviously need spelling lessons again *sighs*

I get this all of the time too.  I am very submissive with most people, more than anyone can really imagine, but it's mostly because they see the confident side of me in public and my vanilla life and assume that I am like that through and through.  When I started telling my friends about my life, they were confuzzled beyond belief.  They couldn't see me as a submissive at all... every one of them was sure that I was a Domme... I just laugh.
