The Russia thing is serious, but people don't care about treason or betraying America as much as they care about jobs, their futures, their quality of life-- none of which have been improved by neoliberalism and the well-off elites, which is what the Democrats still represent to a large number of people.

Russia isn't an issue because people actually care that Trump broke the law-- the left just wants to see Trump go down for any reason because he's a piece of shit, the right denies it's real and repeats Trump's insanity verbatim... but there are also other people who avoid these discussions and only really care about the usual things like jobs, their families, their futures.
To be honest, I don't even think I would care if I wasn't so anxious to see Trump go down.
I despise everything he represents and fear that people will be stupid enough to vote for him again, and so anything that would remove him from power is good.
