ORIGINAL: bounty44 there is that indeed. I suspect a great deal of the bad reaction to fox is a response to it being a fly in the ointment of the leftwing media monopoly. at the same time, from a critical thinking perspective, its particularly irksome when people continually attribute characteristics to fox that aren't essentially true and somehow see themselves as clever or insightful in the process. What is particularly funny is how they are exactly what they preach against in that regard "Daily KOS etc, or nothing. Party line propaganda spew all the way, baby." Actually not. There are two key splits among Democrats: - party establishment vs. grass roots - progressives vs. business-as-usual "moderate conservatives" Additionally, there's a split in the "left" between "we have to work as Democrats" and "fuck the Democrats -- we're Greens or Working Families or ...." There are also splits between the Greens (who feel they own the 3rd party movement on the left) and other 3rd parties. That split isn't as consequential, as they are together a small percentage, but that split does help keep that percentage low.
