ah so his attempt at a health care bill that was blocked was everyones imagination in your opinion? ffs try to keep it on this planet.

Trumpcare is a repeal of Obamacare in only the removal of the mandate which is a disguise of the decimation or more of Medicare, Medicaid, defunding PPH, and a huge tax cut.

This throws the poor, sick (older) back into the ER for their health care or [they] could just do the patriotic thing...and just die.

he has to start somewhere, the first step is to repeal now we wait for a new bill etc etc etc

pretty unfair to expect anyone to have a complete package instantly ready to go.

Hell the clinton cartel totally failed round one and two, or have we forgotten that.

He was voted in because more people are waking up to the fact they are getting fucked by our damobocratic kleptocracy and want the wsamp drained, you on the other hand would have preferrd the criminal clinton syndicate so you could laugh as we sink deeper in to the abyss of corruption beyone anything trump could imagine doing.

First of all, if this was directed at me, the swamp is as thick as thieves, the 'mobacracy' and those thieves are drooling in their brandy, whose ethics are on empty.

And aside from your typically partisan attempt at mind-reading, the repubs in congress teamed with their new Don...make the Clintons look like mere amateurs.

Our current vertically integrated repub [sic] govt. is making the real crime bosses in the US...real fucking jealous. At least come summer, they have to work up a sweat for their ill gotten gains. Not these guys.

which is why trump cant get anything done, he had no idea the swamp is larger than the pacific.

I am just excited that someone is finally at long last and against all odds giving it the ol' college try. Even if he falls short due to the useful idiot howlers he can serve as inspiration for others

Straight talk without the perverse politically correct filters can be used to achieve success in politics today, even with a totally corrupt news media desperately propagandizing against your every move

It's like a warm ray of sunshine on a cold winter day

Who knows whether these anonymous things are true, and there's a lot of opinion reported as fact (like that the demise is inevitable). But if it is, I can certainly appreciate Trump's dilemma, not wanting to go out a loser, but not having any good opening.

Adviser says Donald Trump wants to resign

The demise of Donald Trump’s presidency is now inevitable, with his exit merely being a matter of when and how. Will the Republican Congress throw him overboard to try to avoid being wiped out in the midterms? Will a Democratic Congress impeach him after the midterms? Will Mike Pence and the cabinet invoke the 25th Amendment? According to one of Trump’s own advisers, Trump wants to resign – he just has hesitations about doing it.

All the way down in the last full paragraph of a new Politico article (link), you’ll find this reveal: “But Trump, too, is cognizant of the comparison to Nixon, according to one adviser. The president, who friends said does not enjoy living in Washington and is strained by the demanding hours of the job, is motivated to carry on because he ‘doesn’t want to go down in history as a guy who tried and failed,’ said the adviser. ‘He doesn’t want to be the second president in history to resign.'”

In other words, Donald Trump very clearly wants to resign. His only hangup, according to what he’s telling his own advisers, is how history will end up portraying him. He’s only five months into his term, and he’s still clueless about the realities of politics. So perhaps he hasn’t figured out that his historically low popularly will never recover. And perhaps he’s in denial about how his scandals will ultimately force him out of office one way or the other. But the key here is that he wants out, which is half the battle when it comes to getting rid of him.

How much worse do things have to get before Donald Trump figures out that his presidency has already failed, and that the longer he remains in office, the worse history will judge him? That’s unclear. But by his own words he already wants out, which means we’re closer to his exit than was previously known.

As an American vacationing in the UK, it is quite embarrassing, when people here my American accent ask me:

1. Are you from the States?
2. What do you think of your President?

I just reply that our political systems is flawed.

It's all very well if the orange disaster realises what a disaster his Presidency has been to date, with little prospect of future improvement.

So what happens when he goes and Pence is sworn in? The US will have a President who believes in creationism and all the associated baggage from the quasi-fundamentalist Religious Right, whose record in his home state is every bit as disastrous as Trump's Presidential record and to the best of my knowledge has zero foreign policy experience ... Agreeing to be part of the Trump ticket is surely evidence of if not outright atrocious judgement, then at the minimum a judgement untroubled by principles or ethics.

It is quite an ask to require people to imagine a President worse than Trump but Pence has all the credentials ....

Do you even know that you keep insisting he's actually trying without actually identifying what outcome you expect all of this madness to have?
Seriously, you just seem to like the fact that he's different, but you haven't even put a moment's thought into whether or not he's worse.

He is currently trying to pass a bill that will kick 24 million people off of health care for the sake of a huge tax break for the wealthy, and you're convinced he's trying to make the world a better place?

So far, he's

- run his mouth a lot
- Tweeted a lot
- tried to claim credit for things happening without him
- lied and changed his mind frequency
- got shut down by the courts for taking un-Constitutional actions

That's about it. Oh, and earned the highest unapproval rating of any president in history at this point in the term. And it just keeps sinking lower.

Try? This is the old college try? Sad.

His demise has been reported to be "inevitable" since the day he came down the escalator and announced

Just like Hillary's election was "inevitable"

What is inevitable is that you will continue to pimp the punk no matter what.

Maybe the "old college" in question is Trump University, and that's supposed to be a rather impressive try by the standards of that joke?
