In 2015 there were 15,696 homicides reported to the FBI and 61% were unsolved. So how the fuck do you know which race commits the most homicides?
Blacks may get arrested more often but given the high rate of unsolved homicides you can't know which race commits the most. Furthermore, 65% of forcible rapes are committed by whites and 43.4% of aggravated assaults are by whites. These are also violent crimes. See FBI statistics.
C. Police shootings . . . In 2015, 175 Blacks were killed by cops, 24 were unarmed. For Whites, 172 were killed, 18 unarmed. Forty percent of the unarmed killed by cops were black men who make up only 6% of the population. Black lives don't seem to matter much to Cops.

Funny, the stats everyone else use has 500 something blacks killed by the police and over 700 whites, but what does anyone but you know.

I try to treat you civilly in our exchanges but your comments on my motives are really assuming too much personal incentives that are not there. You keep making shit up about me. I have not questioned your motives, only your positions. Your making this discussion so repeatedly about me confirms that you are shy with ideas. I taught middle school and high school in urban settings in the Miami area for thirty years. I loved my work and I certainly did not come away with any white guilt. I was blessed with thirty years of achievements and satisfaction. Do not make me the issue. My tolerance is waning.
Comparing white prejudice against blacks and Indians is absurd. The Indian has almost disappeared from view and is not considered a threat by whites. The stereotype we have of Indians is he is a slothful, harmless drunkard. How often do you see Indians on your TV news broadcasts? Hardly ever. Practically never. OTOH, blacks are very much present in our social and political fields of vision. The overriding stereotype is that they are dangerous and mean to do us great harm.
You mention the "rampant" crime in black neighborhoods but you neglect to mention the poverty, lack of jobs, and lack of education that follows kids who are hungry and caught up in the cycle of family ignorance, a matriarchal family where the women are semi-literate and often working only menial, low paying jobs.
Poverty in black families is usually qualitatively different from poverty in white families. Poor white families in suburbs are surrounded by affluent middle class families and make up only a small percentage of the demographic of the region. Usually, they have greater access to social facilities. Granted, this is less true for poor country whites. Poor urban blacks however are awash in a sea of impoverished neighborhoods. Poverty as far as the eye can see. Lack of jobs and decent education as far as the eye can see. Poor black families are trapped in large impoverished neighborhoods, which we call ghettos but are really urban reservations. How did they get there? The answer to that question makes the distinction.
The Indian wars were finished by 1898, or earlier, and the Indians were hidden away out of sight on their reservations. What we knew of Indians were the lies told to us by the entertainment media.
Blacks were not decimated by disease or wars. Their labor was too essential to cotton agriculture, so thy were bred instead of dead. They did not go away when they were no longer needed in the South. They moved to the north in three waves, beginning with the availability of work during WW1, then again during WW2, and finally in the 1960s when the McCormick Combine displaced sharecroppers in the cotton fields. The slaves in the South were never that much freed by the Civil War because Reconstruction ended after the 1876 election. It was followed first by Black Laws and then by Jim Crow laws. Always separated. Frequently jailed they were forced to work on chain gangs.
So, the black man is very much with us and, with the exception of entertainers and sports stars, they are very much jobless and powerless. Blacks are visible, Indians are not. Unarmed black men are being killed by police, unarmed Indians are not. See the difference. The most important thing my students wished for was to be treated with respect. R E S P E C T. They and their families are not treated that way by the police.
Aside from the obvious disparities in wealth and health there are big differences between how blacks see themselves treated vs. what whites think. The data is from a Pew Survey, June 2016.

Not only are there real differences but there are perceived differences in how Blacks are treated in America. Eighty-four percent of blacks think they are treated unfairly by the Police while 75% think they are treated unfairly by the Courts. The numbers for whites perceptions of treatment of blacks in those two venues are 50 and 43%. So, there is not only an economic problem there is a problem of perception as well.
If you wish to continue this discussion you will have to lay off the personal judgments.
What do you mean you never question my motives, you have repeatedly told me that I don't care about the lives of black people. That isn't making judgements?
I tell you I have serious concerns about some police actions, but because I can understand how they were aquitted I favor the cops gunning people down. as long as they are black. That isn't making a judment about my values?
I point out that in multipule cases the cops got off because of stupid overcharging and that means I don't think they should be held to any standards. That isn't judgemental?
So I didn't do a thesis paper on all the problems in the black community, does that change the fact that there is, regardless of the reason , a serious crime problem in the black community? Lok at Arkansas this week, that God they couldn't shoot
Your polls are the result, not so much of fact but of coverage. In 1920 you could have gotten a poll that said neither women or blacks should vote, does that mean people who thought they should should have given up.

Even if I was as pro police as you like to think I am I would want less police involved shootings for a variety of reasons.
