If american companies allow it:) then thats down to americans greed
tough luck

You've lost the point that American companies aren't 'allowing' anything. They are being underpriced by Arab state-owned government entities.

That's how unregulated free market capitalism works.

Ummmm... no. Go back and read the op.

So the Arabs are buying the airline industry since oil isn't going to cut it.

If we would develop nuclear and renewable energy sources, we wouldn't buy oil from them and those fucking savages would be dead broke wouldn't they?

The US gets 38% of their oil from the friendly neighbour to the north

I did. They're complaining that they can't compete with the arab airlines because the middle eastern lot can afford to undercut them. What can be done about that through means other than the sort of government underwriting and economic protectionism that makes Milton Friedman turn in his grave?

As usual a swing and miss in pointland.

If we need to import NO oil, others will follow the lead and NOONE will buy oil from the ME.
This will mean that they can't afford weapons systems such as those used by ISIS. They can then go back to living in tents and happily slaughtering each other with knives and pointy sticks like they have for thousands of years.
As for the oil we do get from Canada, know what happens to a lot of it? We refine and export it. American consumers never see the stuff.

Well we better figure out something. Because whether you realize it or not, this is more dangerous than almost anything else they could do.

Muslims controlling the airline industry...

What could possibly go wrong

As Hill has pointed out, if you keep pumping money into their countries by buying oil from them, anything else you try short of killing them all is not going to achieve anything.

FR

I remember the great rejoicing when the airlines were deregulated and free market competition was supplied by Spirit Airlines. Like taking a bus.

Prices fell, the hub system was constructed, leg room got shorter as seats were added. Oh there's more. It all went to hell. The fare cuts were nice.

Prices only fell, in your mind.
