It just keeps getting better and better for President Trump. He has to be laughing his ass off at these fake news losers... [sm=happy-smiley58.gif]

CLARIFICATION: TRUMP-RUSSIA STORIES

WASHINGTON (AP) -- In stories published April 6, June 2, June 26 and June 29, The Associated Press reported that all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies have agreed that Russia tried to influence the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump. That assessment was based on information collected by three agencies - the FBI, CIA and National Security Agency - and published by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which represents all U.S. intelligence agencies. Not all 17 intelligence agencies were involved in reaching the assessment.

You mean three political hacks and not the entire security apparatus was behind all this? Oh, and already one of those hacks has testified Trump wasn't under investigation but Loretta Lynch should be.

Now, if you want to see a media circus:

And then:

And of course:

So on and so forth. But somehow THAT'S not "fake news."

This is why we're laughing.

The only thing that didn't "leak" was the real news - the president was never under investigation, even though everyone who was anyone knew it

Let's keep in mind that mediamatters was started by Clinton(the rape apologist) to further her political career and now that she has no career is just flinging the same old monkey dung. Find me a couple of links from any real news source, even a progressive one, and your arguments may be worth reviewing.

And at the same time, this specifies that the FBI, CIA and National Security Agency all agree that Russia tried to influence the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump.

Hmmm. That's real news.

Yes, but the whole point is that the news media made it about Trump because they had no other explanation for their side losing the election and now the story is beginning to be corrected to show just how biased it all was. Eventually we may even get to the point of honestly reporting this was all a fabrication of the Obama administration with a healthy misuse of the intelligence community by that administration. It'll take a while to get there. The news people won't want to admit the fake news all at once. It'll be a slow backpedal.

Musicmystery -> RE: AP "Clarifies" Trump - Russia Fake News BS Story (7/1/2017 10:23:41 AM)

No. The link shows that since the information was published by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which represents all U.S. intelligence agencies, the media incorrectly assumed the statement represented all 17, and upon finding that's not accurate, corrected the statement to show that the FBI, CIA and National Security Agency all agree that Russia tried to influence the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump. That doesn't make it "BS fake news" -- it corrects the sources.

So the real news is this:

The FBI, CIA and National Security Agency all agree that Russia tried to influence the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump.

Since the Russians have been fucking with our elections since (that we know about) 1945 it's pretty far sighted of them to know that Trump was going to run in 2016.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/when-the-left-longed-for-russian-political-interference

quote:

The man the Russians sought first to help was Henry A. Wallace, the former vice president and secretary of Commerce. Wallace became the first public figure to oppose Harry Truman’s “get-tough policy” with the Soviets, which he adopted after it became clear that the Soviets were seeking to expand their empire to control Eastern Europe, not to reach a road to peace through negotiations with the United States. Back in 1943, Wallace already had made his views clear in a speech in which he said that “fascist interests motivated largely by anti-Russian bias” were trying to “get control of our government.”

And since the intelligence agencies have admitted they don't know what the Russians were attempting to effect. All we have is a couple of political hacks saying it was pro Trump and there is no evidence to back it.

http://www.theblaze.com/news/2016/12/13/report-intelligence-community-not-buying-cia-russian-hacking-assessment-due-to-lack-of-evidence/

quote:

According to the outlet, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence does not necessarily dispute the CIA’s report, but the umbrella agency — which oversees all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies — doesn’t endorse it either due to a lack of evidence that Moscow intended to “boost” Trump over Democrat Hillary Clinton.

“ODNI is not arguing that the [CIA] is wrong, only that they can’t prove intent,” one top U.S. intelligence official told Reuters. “Of course they can’t, absent agents in on the decision-making in Moscow.”

Musicmystery -> RE: AP "Clarifies" Trump - Russia Fake News BS Story (7/1/2017 10:58:17 AM)

You don't have to be impressed with it.

But the real news is this, as the OP makes clear:

The FBI, CIA and National Security Agency all agree that Russia tried to influence the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump.

So not "BS Fake News." It might be boring news, insignificant news, not-surprising news.

But actual news nonetheless.

First it was seventeen, now it's three... Pretty soon they will admit the truth - it was all a cover for the Obama administration's illegal spying on the Trump campaign

And that is beginning to become quite apparent

Musicmystery -> RE: AP "Clarifies" Trump - Russia Fake News BS Story (7/1/2017 11:00:18 AM)

That's ridiculous. That they had agreed that Russia tried to influence the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump was known and is still true.

Who was they? The FBI, CIA and National Security Agency.

What part of absent having an agent in the decision making process in Moscow they can't know the motives don't you understand?

LOL! Irony doesn't cover that nonsense.

I didn't realize you were an expert in intelligence gathering. /sarcasm

Reality: The FBI, CIA and National Security Agency all agree that Russia tried to influence the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump.

If you want to say the FBI, CIA, and National Security Agency are lying, I guess that's another thread.

But given a choice between them and you? I'll go with them. They have a better record.

A number of watchdog-group reports and news stories have revealed the serious deficiencies that exist within the Central Intelligence Agency especially during former-President Barack Obama’s two-terms in the White House. Some blame Obama’s CIA director John Brennan for allowing what was supposed to be a non-political bureaucracy into a politically-motivated subsidiary of the Democratic National Committee.

https://spectator.org/john-brennan-and-baltic-spies-teamed-up-to-defeat-trump/

quote:

The origin of the Obama administration’s investigation of imaginary Trump-Russia collusion remains murky, but this much is clear: John Brennan, Obama’s Trump-hating CIA director, stands at the center of it.
Brennan pushed for a multi-agency investigation of the Trump campaign, using as his pretext alleged intelligence from an unnamed Baltic state. That “intelligence” was supplied at the very moment Baltic officials had their own political motivation to smear Trump.
