Saudi Arabia has 'clear link' to UK extremism, report says

Saudi Arabia is the chief foreign promoter of Islamist extremism in the UK, a new report has claimed.
The Henry Jackson Society said there was a "clear and growing link" between Islamist organisations in receipt of overseas funds, hate preachers and Jihadist groups promoting violence.
The foreign affairs think tank called for a public inquiry into the role of Saudi Arabia and other Gulf nations.

The UK's Saudi Arabian embassy says the claims are "categorically false".
Ministers are under pressure to publish a report on UK-based Islamist groups.

The Home Office report into the existence and influence of Jihadist organisations, commissioned by former Prime Minister David Cameron in 2015, has reportedly yet to be completed amid questions as to whether it will ever be published.

Critics have suggested it could make uncomfortable reading for the government, which has close and longstanding diplomatic, security and economic links with the Gulf, particularly Saudi Arabia.
Wednesday's report says a number of Gulf nations, as well as Iran, are providing financial support to mosques and Islamic educational institutions which have played host to extremist preachers and been linked to the spread of extremist material.

At the top of the list, the report claims, is Saudi Arabia. It alleges individuals and foundations have been heavily involved in exporting what it calls "an illiberal, bigoted Wahhabi ideology", quoting a number of examples

It is well known that Saudi Arabia has financed the spread of Wahhabi ideology across the globe in recent decades. Among many other contributing causes, the spread of this harsh extremist version of Islam has played a part in the radicalisation of innumerable Islamists, and created cannon fodder for the likes of IS and AQ. The Saudis have also financed and equipped Islamist rebels in Syria and Iraq.

I'm looking forward to hearing how Saudi Arabia's friend on these boards, Bosco, tries to explain away the malicious influence of that shady medieval theocracy. Bosco you will remember considers the Saudis indispensable allies, and demands that they must be armed with the latest military hardware so that they can implement the world's harshest version of sharia.

And $100-$300-$1000 Billion of the latest USA military hardware - depending on which figures (and proportions of that deal is actual arms) you wish to believe. I know Obama did all the groundwork for those deals and then decided that Saudi's were very naughty and put a halt to it. Obviously Handsome Obama read the same report.

Strange the Orange Armageddon and The Trump Curtsey Situation embraced them with open arms without addressing eg the content of that report. Why are they picking on Qatar again?

... which tells us that they are either unable or unwilling to justify their indefensible support for Saudi Arabia or to tell us why they support the sale of US arms to help the Saudis enforce their brutal interpretation of sharia law.

Not much of a surprise, is it? Defending the indefensible is a tough ask for anyone.

I can't even be bothered to address this issue, because coming from lefties who support Islam. It's funny to watch you guys crying about Saudi Arabia. When I am against every country that practices Islam. And I am all for the banning of Burka that Saudi Arabia would love every woman in this universe to wear. Because when you ban the Burka, Saudi women has an excuse to wear something else other than Burka. We are giving them their freedom when they visit any other countries to wear something else. And their husbands can't say anything as it's the law. To me, that is going against Saudi campaign to spread Wahhabism in the West.

But Lefties are against banning the Burka, thus are literally THE ONES enabling what Saudi has set into action world wide, spreading their Wahabbism. One of the things is their Burka.

So hypocrites much? Saudi can try to spread Wahabbism as much as possible, but it could not possibly be successful without the help and enabling FROM THE LEFT, to protect them and give them their rights to spread their Wahabbism, attacking anybody who dares be against it!

Lefties fight against the Right trying to stop Wahabbism from spreading. So essentially, Lefties are in league with Saudi for this problem.

And ya crying about Trump choosing the better of the worst? It does not benefit US to side Iran as they are outnumbered in the Muslim community. They are a minority sect of Muslims.

As Wahhabism as Saudi is, they still belong to the majority Sunni sect of Islam. Iran is on the Shia side. I think only 20% or less of the 1.6billion Muslims belongs to Shia sect. So why would Trump pick Iran?

It makes sense for them to choose Saudi. To me, as I always said, US has always been in bed with their enemies.

And both countries kill gay people, both countries stone women for getting raped! So Iran or Saudi? What's the difference? Better of the worst?

Qatar supports Hezbollah. Which is dedicated to the annihilation of Israel. I don't see why US should side them either.

One of the saddest fucking thing I ever read in my life is when blonde American girls say that wearing Burka is feminism. Logic is, they want to be respected for their brains and not their bodies so they feel hiding their body in a ninja suit is the perfect way of being a feminist, that only your brain matters and not ever be a victim of sexualisation.

Love how Saudis managed to get to them too despite their lack of human rights towards women in their own country. And this whole topic is laughable. I always said, ALL Muslims Funds Terrorism. Through their Mosque! The donations they give, and where the Mosque send the funds too.
