Why would somebody who wants to live in a regime run by a narcissistic autocrat who can't take criticism need to move to a country where they'd have to learn a new language?

so you are suggesting we move to North Korea [8|]

No, I'm saying you don't have to bother: you have a narcissist who can't take criticism running your own country as well.

Well, to be fair, he's also an idiot who disdains the notion of learning new information.

And an obnoxious bully.

NPR Tweeted the entire Declaration of Independence. Sharing the document, in some form, on July 4th is something the organization has done for almost three decades. This time around though it caused a frenzy for lots of Trump supporters who thought the words, in the tweets, were created to use against Donald Trump.

As the Huffington Post reports:
"They didn’t recognize the words and thought NPR was calling for revolution."

Some supporters of President Donald Trump didn’t recognize one of the nation’s founding documents and accused the broadcaster of inciting violence and even revolution.

Many of those comments have since been deleted and at least one user deleted an entire Twitter account.

But the tweets live on, some still posted online while others have been preserved in screen captures.

Here are some of those tweets and the reactions to them:

I do not understand this culture's fascination with Twitter. Nor why NPR would want to tweet.

But I understand the stupidity and stubborn arrogance of many Americans even less.

I was once proud of this country. And it's still and will remain my home.

But it can't find its ass with both hands.

I have to say, Twitter is not the best medium for disseminating an entire document.

NPR tweeted it out line by line, rather than a link or picture. Some people didn't see the start, and when you see intermediate lines out of context, calling for revolution against a corrupt government, well - it says something about today's media companies that phrases like that can actually come from current talking heads, rather than centuries old documents that led to war.

Aaand,

you're going to be the first one out there facing the Halliburton/ExxonMobile army and their advanced artillery and their M1 tanks and their F-15 fighter jets with your pop gun, right?

"you're"? WTF is that? Dont put your ignorant shit spin on me bitch, just because I am literate enough to translate the meaning of the DoI.

I probably already know the answer, but are you seriously not aware of the existence of the contraction comprising you and are?
you + are = you're

Grade 3 elementary school helped me with this.. apparently you were too busy with the revolution.

Astoundingly, however, a new survey of a representative sample of over a thousand Americans conducted by Columbia Law School shows that Marx's slogan is alive and well--right here in the United States. The survey found that sixty-nine percent of respondents either thought that the United States Constitution contained Marx's maxim, or did not know whether or not it did.

It almost like the schools should stop teaching about putting condom on bananas and get back to teaching substantive things. Maybe vouchers will help.

So it's really worse out there.

bounty44 -> RE: Declaration of Independence Tweets thought call to revolution. (7/7/2017 4:12:40 PM)

yes, but its just easier, and in keeping with their smug pompous ass posture, for the left to believe that the "other side" is stupid and that they themselves would never make such a mistake---you know, given their intellectual superiority and all.

My first thought, when I saw NPR had tweeted it, was "Why?" FFS.

And I hear ya about missing context. However . . . the reactions to the lines were insane.

I do give credit to the responders who afterwards issued mea culpas.

And so, the Leftist arrogance and snobbery - wherein they try to portray their political opponents as illiterate hicks - continues.

If you fucking idiots don't wake up to yourselves and start acting like mature adults, Trump will get a second term.

Fuckwits.

I! you hadn't actually tried to correct something that wasn't a mistake WITH a mistake before making comments about being literate, there wouldn't have been a grammar Nazi moment. But you should realize that not knowing the basics puts you behind people who study English as a second language and also affects your ability to communicate. If you want people to take your insanity as seriously as possible, you might want to work on your presentation.
