The article reminded me about the study of muscular men that came to an ambiguous causality about muscular men being less likely to support an egalitarian society.
Both articles admit the correlations have ambiguous causality.
If you cherry pick, you can find equally attractive and unattractive (subjectively speaking) individuals on either sides.
it does seem as if successful Wall Strret/Business types tend toward Republican and successful creative types lean toward Democratic.
The study references a correlation of attractiveness to success - then equates success to business. Which is what makes the studies causality ambiguous, because it fails to include other areas of success. Artists, musicians, actors etc. Many of whom are attractive, successful and Democratic.
If this correlation is biased and the causality ambiguous then the conclusion is either false or poorly rendered.
I'm uncertain how these studies get published, but they seem poorly constructed.
All that to say, I disagree that either side has more or less attractive individuals.
