"I also won’t use my talents to celebrate Halloween, anti-American or anti-family themes, atheism, racism, or indecency.”

I'm Atheist and I am not offended! :)

“All of us cherish the American promise of religious freedom as protected under the U.S. Constitution, but that doesn’t give anyone the right to discriminate against others,” said the group’s acting CEO, Kasey Suffredini.

Ones religion absolutely gives one the right to discriminate. Insanity rules the day!

If religion did not give one the right to discriminate against anothers religion we would all be one religion wouldnt we.

If political power believed there was a man in the sky then we would all be required to believe and support that there is a man in the sky wouldnt we? Likewise to the contrary!

This case boils down to statist commercial law versus protecting our religious rights that the state promised and is chartered to uphold.

My bet is statist commercial law will win.

Speech, privacy, and arms have all fallen prey to the state despite we the people reserved those rights exclusively to ourselve outside the state prerogative and jurisdiction.

We will get to watch history being made as the courts completely take over, permanently establishing themselves as the ruling religious authority, through their commercial venue.

The last knife in our backs needed to completely destroy the constitution.

I think the real issue is because of the black slavery history in US. Like if someone refuse to bake a cake for black people, more people will be outrage about it.

But personally, I often feel issues like these are better solved by simply boycotting the business than having government interference.

I mean with things like Yelp nowadays, people can just leave a review to say this cake shop does not serve gay people. More people would boycott them. Let it naturally sort itself out. When they run out of business, they gotta serve gay people.

I mean when it comes to religious shit, alot of things are like made up stuffs. Like, if I go to a Muslim or Jew Baker and tell them that I want Pork Floss on my cake. They would refuse to do it too right? Because it's against their religion.

Am I gonna kick up a fuss? No. Move on to the next cake shop who will be willing to put pork floss on my cake.

(PS: Pork Lard used in Desserts is quite common in Chinese Desserts)

Ya know, in some fancy steak restaurant, if ya go in there and ask for a crucified steak, some of them just show you to the door and refuse to serve you too. Because it go against the Chef's professional idea of how to eat a steak.

Everyone with blood pumping in their veins has a dog in this fight.

The reason religion was included in the constitution as off limits to the state was so the state cant determine it for you.

The state has already established themselves as a religion with the mormon ruling against poly, and states never give up power stolen or otherwise.

Of all the rights, the right to 'exercise' your own religion is where the rubber meets the road.

You are correct, these are all in a commercial venue, the same venue the state has used in the past and I expect will continue to use in the future to subvert and continue the complete destruction of the constitution, the very contract that justifies their existence in the first place.

Musicmystery -> RE: "I won't bake a cake that promotes Atheism" (7/14/2017 6:21:02 AM)

So people buy their cakes from the shop with the big signs that says "We bake cakes any occasion."

They prosper, the other guy caters to conservative Christians. Life goes on.

Fine sue them for false advertizing, this has nothing to do with conservative Christains and everything to do with the gubmint upholding our reserved rights.

the gays have their religion and christains have theirs, the gays won the marriage ticket because scrotum (rightfully I might add) considered their marriage as a right of their religion.

Every time the gubmint adjudicates a narrow sliver of regulation with respect to our reserved rights they commit a violation of 'trust', as they have no authority over it but to dismiss.

and in the case of discrimination, those are commercial laws that likewise are in violation of the trust compact.

Real0ne -> RE: "I won't bake a cake that promotes Atheism" (7/14/2017 7:07:34 AM)

All religions have the 'RIGHT' to deny promotion or catering to all other religions PERIOD. They cannot 'lawfully' overlay their commercial bullshit over the top to destroy by degree the terms and conditions of very contract that created their existence without destroying themselves in the process.

The atheist has the RIGHT to discriminate and deny demands from anyone their religion considers as operating under the man in the sky, as much as other religions have the RIGHT to discriminate against atheists antichrist religion, such as gay marriage.

I was thinking like this means that, he will not make wedding cakes for ALL civil marriages. I am trying to think what is an Atheist marriage. Like not married in a church?

Ahh well, that's alot of business he is refusing.

this what loooosy?

Instead of everyone having religious rights you only want atheists and gays to have rights is that it?

Well I think a gay woman should be forced to have sex with a gay man fuck their religious views, we wouldnt want any discrimination now would we looosey.

You'd jump on MMs bandwagon and agree with that right?

atheists are anti-all religions contrary to theirs, just like Christains are anti all religions that run contrary to theirs.

Christians follow and exercise the teachings of JC, atheists follow and exercise antiChrist lifestyles, both have the same right within their own be left alone to exercise their religions respectively.

Now if its 40 below zero outside and you have a boarding house and refuse a muslim shelter endangering their life that is negligence.

The real propblem is that the courts will try to maintain their iron grip on power over the people, there is a legal trick they use to do that over here that gets them around the constitution and like false flags it works flawlessly.

longwayhome -> RE: "I won't bake a cake that promotes Atheism" (7/14/2017 11:03:26 AM)

I'm not sure why any gay man would want to put money in the hands of a baker who disapproved of gay marriage in any case.

There was a very similar case in Northern Ireland last year where I found myself thinking the same. The conflicting issues about having to offer a service to the whole community without specifically discriminating against any particular group versus the right to hold and practice religious views whilst providing a non-religious service to the public came up in that case too. In cases about hotels and guest houses, the ruling here (for better or worse) has been that you can choose who sleeps in a private house, but once you are offering a service to the public, you are not allowed to withhold it from specific minority groups, whatever your religious views.

I just thought the guys involved should have just taken their business elsewhere, probably along with the business of their friends and acquaintances. I'm sure once they had been turned down they must have been pretty clear that they didn't want their money paying for the baker's lifestyle.

Well, if it's 40 below zero outside and a Muslim come knocking. I will have to trust my spidey sense on this Muslim. I have to work with Muslims constantly in my daily life after all but always keeping my feelers out. I guess in our country, we have a 24/7 reporting hotline if we think someone is a terrorist. Any remote chance, we should report it.

As long as the Muslim intention isn't there to Harm the people in the boarding house and is a nice and good Muslim, the Muslim is welcome. It's just having the right spidey senses whether is this a physical Jihad Muslim or a financial Jihad Muslim. The financial Jihad types will be physically peaceful always and they are fine to deal with and be around. The way to deal with them is more like getting their Mosque shut down IF it's discovered funds are aiding Terrorism. But they will generally be very nice and normal with you. If the Mosque got shut down, they just feign ignorance and carry on.

longwayhome -> RE: "I won't bake a cake that promotes Atheism" (7/14/2017 11:16:25 AM)

Wow.

This thread became all about Muslims too.

Is anyone else seeing a pattern here?

Well we are taking Islamic terrorism so seriously here that police goes door to door and knock at every door to personally brief you and teach you on what to do during a terrorist attack.

It's that kind of tension. At the moment, our government is pretty saying, alot of sources are saying, the Islamic groups are plotting to attack Singapore really badly, and it's only a matter time we will be hit and we are preparing the Nation for it. It's like dealing with wolves in sheeps clothings. How can you tell who is the terrorist among Muslims?

longwayhome -> RE: "I won't bake a cake that promotes Atheism" (7/14/2017 11:21:00 AM)

Just don't sell them any cakes, Greta.
