sorry, RO, I don’t look at You Tube videos. I would hope that if you have something important to say, you would say it with some intelligence by typing it out.

LOL

If I were in your position I wouldnt watch them either. [8D]

Well, It is sort of like presenting the title of a book and claiming that your point is confirmed somewhere in the book. I really don't have time in my life to fuck around like that. Maybe you do.

Actually, unlike you, I have spent quite a bit time discussing the OP with vincentML and others, not that you would notice but that included "defending any of the shit I claim".

I just don't bother putting up with Trolls like you who somehow think that insults should be tolerated.

Now, if you have questions that aren't common knowledge, that you can't just look up on the internet for yourself and "really" want answers to and you can ask them without insults, perhaps then I'll answer them but till then, to me, you're just a troll that deserves no further acknowledgement.

MNM, while what you've said is true, she's not going to understand and care. Her only conversational skills are adapted to hustling drunks in bars for their spare change.

I was playing Star Wars The Old Republic last night, and saw this interesting tidbit show up in the chat box.

"The bible is history, the history of creation."

I wish there were more games like that. It seems all of the games went to constantly shooting something without ever having to figure anything out.

Darling, I ask the questions I ask because I know you can't answer them.

Honestly, you have no idea what I can answer or not.

Like I said, if you ask things like, what standards does the Bible give for Christians, I'm not going to answer that, not because I don't know but because anyone can look it up for themselves, thus it is just a waste of my time.

If you have another question that you think I haven't answered please ask again and I'll answer it for you.

Yaeh that's complete bullshit. It's a waste of your time, but you will go on and on and on about how rude I am. The thing is, my dick-brained friend, I know the bible at least as well, if not better than you, so I asked because I knew you couldn't answer, because you were making shit up.

Since your god is supposedly all loving and merciful, why are there diseases that kill and maim infants?

I'm astonished that the "no transitional fossils" line is still being trotted out. If there are no transitional species shown in the fossil record WTF are archeoptrex and the other toothed birds that have been uncovered; the various feathered velociraptors; zeuglodon (aka basilosaurus) and earlier prototype whales; the precursor cockroaches from the carboniferous era (I forget the name of those); the early cephalopod fossils (one of which is cited as a prototype octopus and another as the common ancestor of all vampire squid) from even further back; attercopus (probably the ancestor of all modern spiders); the various jawless and barely even vertebral fish; eryops, icthystega and the other early amphibians (of which there are an absolute shitload); later amphibians in the process of transitioning to reptiles (some of which have proved to impossible to classify firmly as belonging to one group or the other); and the various transitional horse fossils which the creationists have been in denial about since the '50s?

All they have to do is look but they are afraid to actually be confronted with what we see going on as we type.

Just read yet another article on the pine beetle. They have become a real invasion with literally 10's of millions of acres of pine trees...killed by this beetle. There is a mucus-like fluid under the bark where they lay their eggs that was to repel these eaters. It worked for some time but no longer.

The beetle 'has evolved' to accept this fluid, turns it into a pheromone the scent of which draws millions more beetles.

That's not the origin of the beetle, it is evolutionary genetic selection of the pine beetle that now...no longer repels them.

Because people sinned, which caused disease, and unfortunately children can catch them as well.

And so you continue to post this rudeness, in hopes of what? That some might be fooled in to thinking that you actually have something to say?

I actually already answered this but you are so "angry" that you dismissed the answer without even giving it a second thought.

But since you say that you lost an infant to disease, I'll give you an answer that you might feel addresses the question more directly, even though you will like this answer even less.

God is the father of mankind but like many fathers his children turned their back on their Father and basically told God to go away and leave them alone, they could do better on their own.

Well are they doing better on their own?

As for what the exact purpose is for those diseases you mention, I don't know but I can tell you that if mankind had not turned their back on God mankind would never have been affected by them.

It might be interesting for you to note that among the peoples that followed God's suggestion to spread abroad the earth, smallpox was unknown but among the peoples that ignored that suggestion and gathered into large cities is where smallpox and many other deadly diseases developed. Instead of keeping those diseases to themselves they brought them to North America used them to decimate the native Americans so they could steal their land.

So, way back in the past somebody sinned, so this all-loving thing you worship created diseases that kill and maim infants thousands of years later who have never sinned at all? Is that what you are saying?
Why did this all loving thing you worship allow that sin in the first place?

ThatDizzyChick -> RE: Creationist Belief Falling into the Dumpster (8/22/2017 9:15:29 AM)

No, sorry, that explanation does not hold water, since the thing you worship ids supposedly omniscient, and so he knew before he created anything that people would turn their backs on him, yet he went ahead and created \the world the way he did so that people would turn their backs on him, therefore he obviously wanted them to do so. Why?

More bullshit, because many of those diseases are older than humanity, so the thing you worship created them long before he created humans. Try again, but this time make an effort to be at least slightly reasonable.

I think that's an adaption rather than a transition. Also a serious problem. I take it the beetles are wiping out pines that are being farmed for wood, rather than pinyons and scrub pines and the like?

He does what he wants. He allows what he wants. If nothing else... so you might get mad at him.
