I daresay that every administration since Wilson, and some before, has fiddlefucked around in the middle east.
EVERY one of those has come around to bite us on the ass.
We need to stop treating some of these people as allies and treat ALL of them as what they are. Fucking savages who need to be quarantined so they can kill each other cheerfully as they have for thousands of years.
OK... Back to the topic from the derail of the derail...
I started this thread, posting a link to a NY Times article about Iran's outsized influence in Iraq. It caught my eye, because I predicted this before we ever set foot there. I also noted (or at least implied) that without a hostile foe neighbor (Iraq), and the U.S. looking the other way (as Cheney was profiting from SELLING nuclear technology to Iran) Iran could spend its resources on increasing their nuclear program (e.g. their facility at Arak). And now we see, Shiite militias take more and more ground in the effort to expel ISIL, we will see Iraq become more and more of an Iranian puppet state, and a profit center for Iran.
THAT is what this thread is about.
The very FIRST reply was a completely nonsensical link to the shooting down if an Iranian airliner by mistake and a silly ad hominem attack on me.
After that silliness ended, there was a general point about all U.S. Presidents intervening in the Middle East, and then an argument about Trump, and more name calling.
GEEEZ!!!!! This thread is about the disaster of the invasion of Iraq and how it is empowered and ENRICHED Iran!
