Well that's settled. That's one less thing the flaming feminazis can complain about.

That was an interesting study. It addressed stereotypes that penalize women in the work force because women are expected to be more family focused and men feel less likely to discuss struggles balancing family and work because of those same stereotypes implying men are emasculated for expressing themselves.

The takeaway is that both genders struggle with balancing work and family.
It also shows that society, in general, still clings to traditional family roles, and people still internalize those expectations.

Thanks for sharing the study, RM.

Interesting. So, RM, do you support the researchers' recommendations -

"The researchers say that company and government policies should provide greater support for work-family policies that benefit men and women, such as flexible work arrangements, child care support and both paid maternity and paternity leave" ... ?

The fact that your article says men feels less guilty about spending less time on children and more time on work and then conclude both struggle the same amount is like WTF?

Wish a woman could feel less guilty about spending less time with children and more time on work.

The article is contradicting themselves.

Any chance of a response to my question, RM? Do you accept the researchers' suggestions as to how to put right this problem - or do you have solutions of your own that you feel to be better? I am sure that you didn't just start this thread solely in order to make the point, yet again, of 'aren't feminists awful?' - or did you?

No I don't support it because the choices people make with their personal lives should not interfere with a business. To an employer, your business should come first. If others want to make life choices that stops the desired result in the business, they're obviously not fit for the job.
