and cell phones used to be able to be turned on for eaves dropping by the gubmint while it was in your pocket and off! That is the way they gathered evidence against John Gotti. They did not use the actual recordings in court because that would be public record and they did not want people to know they had this capability. And that was how many years ago ? I used to ride shotgun with a dealer from time to time and sometimes he would take the battery clean out of his cellphone when on a run. With a cellphone, even without GPS, they can track you down to about ten feet. That is because of their phased array antennas in the towers. This technology does help to save your battery some by beaming the signal and focusing the reception to your location. But it also gives them information on your location. You don't even need to make a call, the phone is always looking for the nearest tower, on a friendly network of course. The technology is pretty advanced actually. And guess where it was developed. Anyway, this Wisconsin firm seems to have talked people into it. And that is how I figured it would happen. Eventually it will be everyone. I don't like giving reference to fiction, but you might want to watch The Outer Limits - Zig Zag episode. (1995 version, on hulu) Illustrates pretty well how such things can be abused. Anyway, I would refuse. And if I can't get the job without getting chipped then so be it. But people are getting to the point where they do not value privacy anymore. Some say "If you got nothing to hide...". That is not the point. My private life is private. They are giving up on the fourth amendment. We already lost the fifth. Luckily we still got the second, and fragments of the first. Who is indoctrinating people to accept this shit ? We know what the schools have become, but that does not explain 50 year olds who are willing to just give up their rights. In school, they never asked me which of the first ten amendments should be deleted. In fact they never taught it in the first place and we are talking the 1960s and 1970s. By the mid 1970s they had the forced busing here and I quit and got a job. I hope there is some sort of hell for Battisti to burn in. I am not willing to give up any of my rights, and privacy is one of them. T^T
