The ACA was just another typical government clusterfuck. I am a Man and I would be covered for pregnancy, prenatal care and all that. Shit, if I get pregnant the National Enquirer would pay the costs just to get the pictures.
It was written by the insurance companies for their own benefit, and it turns out it wasn't good enough. Even though healthy people are paying ten grand a year in premiums and have a ten grand deductible, they say they aren't making money ?
Typical bullshit this government does. Since it is always time to borrow, borrow the money to build government hospitals and drug companies. Go into direct competition with the price gougers. Tell them like "OK, if you can do an appendectomy for a thousand you got the job, any more and we'll just do it ourselves". Watch the prices go down in a matter of seconds. The worst thing for a hospital is "empty beds". Watch some of them close down and go on the market, then the government can buy them on the cheap.
See the problem is there is no competition. In some areas there is, for example you can go to Costa Rica to get false teeth cheap. You know out of all the hundreds you pay for false teeth, the company that actually makes them only gets about $40. I shit you not, I knew someone in the business. Actually they got the process streamlined pretty well, but still a CDT has to line up the teeth in the dentures so you can chew right. He explained to e though, that if you go down south to get dentures on the cheap, you might not be seen by a dentists and you could have ulcerated gums or something like that. That's supposedly why you can't just go directly to the CDT in the US, and probably a few other places.
Anyway, the ACA was always a mess but the liberals were in denial. Some of them think Hillary Clinton is President for Pete's sake. But it is their typical bullshit. How can it cost EVERYONE more and be any good ? People are paying more, but insurance companies are whining about not making any money. The hospitals are doing what they always did, charge as much as possible for everything.
No problem was solved by the ACA. You got more people insured, but most of them will never use it. But you suck into their wallets for pain killers and other drugs for couch potatoes who walk about a mile a year and live on fast food and Mallow Cups. And that gummy candy that turns my stomach. We have to pat for them ? Bullshit. This was another nail in Hillary's coffin. People thought Trump would fix it, but it seems congress can't work out a real fix. But then they are government they have never fixed anything. Most of them probably can't even put gas in their car.
We would be better off if they did nothing. Just abolish the government altogether. No more bombing other countries, no more taxes, no more laws. Nothing.
We would all be better off.
