I'm pretty sure this is fake simply because its liberal-bashing reads like standard-issue conservative ego porn

You mean much like the conservative-bashing meme that Lucy posted earlier? Or any of the conservative-bashing pieces you post? Or the commentary on MSNBC...CNN...NPR?

He's got his filter set to "ignorant". The author has all kinds of cred, and everything she posted is dead on correct about the left

You're right about Crazy Lucy's straw man post, total absurdity. The exact kind of thing the author was referring to

I post conservative-bashing pieces?
When?

I tend to bash individuals, actually.

Cred?
To express her own personal opinion?
Okay, sure... but it's not like anyone who isn't a fucking troll like you is going to find any value in it.

It doesn't really matter if one person decides to stop being a left-winger or stop being a right-winger or experience an epiphany and decide politics in general is a waste of time.
But of course, you don't care either-- you just saw that she was saying negative things about people you hate, it made you feel good, so you decided to post it here to start another trademark BoscoX shitstorm.

Loser.

Lucylastic -> RE: A Woman’s “Top 10 Reasons I Am No Longer A Leftist” (8/4/2017 9:13:33 PM)

FR
I told Bounty I would post that meme, the next time he posted his continuous bullshit about the difference between right and left, and muslims and the left, so after todays shit post, I posted it...I kept my promise.

Everybody knows this was posted by Bosco to incite bullshit, but I ignored his post...But as I promised Bounty to retaliate with more religious bullshit when he did....I simply kept my promise.
I have to wonder why his bullshit is ok to post, when none of you rwnj can post honestly about anything.
If he can post bullshit so can I. And I will do so again.
nothing more nothing less,

cry on.

Leaving the left

Before 9/11, I was liberal-left.
After 9/11, in the winter of 2001-2, like thousands - maybe millions - of others, I converted to libertarian-right.
Above all else, I was shocked by the left's response to 9/11. I was so naive as to think that the left I had grown up with hated fascism, especially religious fascism, and would be the first to join a war against it.
Instead they have emerged as the war's opponents, often with open sympathy for the fascists.
Secondly, I was impressed by the neo-conservative right's analysis of the problem (that it was not caused by poverty, for example), their understanding of human nature and of the mind of the enemy. Leaving the left is not about "selling out" to mortgages and money, or anything so mundane. It is about growing up and understanding better unchanging human nature and the bleak tragedy of the world.

So this person decided to turn right because the left opposed the war in Iraq.

15 years on, and with the benefit of hindsight, guess who turned out to be correct? There were no WMDs, Iraq is in ruins, hundreds of thousands have died, trillions have gone down the gurgler, what's left of Iraq is now a province of Iran, the entire disaster spawned the hideous thugs of IS ..... and everyone with a functioning brain now agrees that the neo-con-inspired invasion of Iraq was an unmitigated catastrophe.

If this person had any intellectual honesty they would admit that their decision turned out to be the wrong one.

BoscoX -> RE: A Woman’s “Top 10 Reasons I Am No Longer A Leftist” (8/5/2017 5:07:50 AM)

The war is beside the point, which is that not everyone chooses to be in denial about Muslim terrorism.

Occasional acts of "terror" (being far down on the measure of social earthquakes when compared to the damage done by white collar elite Wall Street manipulators and con men) that cause much less havoc than we inflict upon ourselves daily with automobiles or guns are anything much to be concerned about except as their propagandists, yourself included, raise false flags in our culture. The naked truth be told, The Islamists resort to recruiting "terrorists" from the gang that can't shoot straight because they are an impotent force in the world of geopolotik.

BoscoX -> RE: A Woman’s “Top 10 Reasons I Am No Longer A Leftist” (8/5/2017 5:53:01 AM)

Occasional, as in it is an every day occurrence

In the last month alone there were "only" 148 Muslim terror attacks in 24 countries, in which 906 people were killed and 880 injured.

On the date mentioned in the article almost 3000 were slaughtered, and thousands more were injured

Over 9,000 more

"Ho hum" only to leftist propagandists, and exactly the sort of thing the writer was referring to

heavyblinker -> RE: A Woman’s “Top 10 Reasons I Am No Longer A Leftist” (8/5/2017 6:09:28 AM)

America has killed half a million in Iraq alone since 2004.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-24547256

Terrorists are amateurs.

bounty44 -> RE: A Woman’s “Top 10 Reasons I Am No Longer A Leftist” (8/5/2017 6:13:39 AM)

yeah because war declared by nations is the moral and legal equivalent of terrorism.

also:

quote:

176,000–189,000 people were killed in violence in the Iraq war, including 134,000 civilians (using Iraq Body Count's figures), according to the findings of the Costs of War Project, a team of 30 economists, anthropologists, political scientists, legal experts, and physicians assembled by Brown University and the Watson Institute to study the effects of wars involving the United States since 2001.

BoscoX -> RE: A Woman’s “Top 10 Reasons I Am No Longer A Leftist” (8/5/2017 6:15:58 AM)

Who did practically all of the killing in the Iraq war?

Muslim terrorists.

We killed the killers

Thanks for the textbook examples of the exact mindset the author was referring to guys, keep them coming

From your article:

Iraq study estimates war-related deaths at 461,000

Not people "America has killed"

People who, for the most part, Muslim terrorists slaughtered

And they counted heart attacks and suicides and honor killings etc too - every naturally occurring death, they attributed to the liberation effort

How many people would Saddam have slaughtered by now? He was responsible for the slaughter of nearly a million prior to the Iraqi liberation

Actually, it wasn't the opposition to the war in Iraq that did it for her, it was the left's blaming of America for the 9/11 attack and it's support for the fanaticism that perpetrated it. Nice spin on her reason, though.

mnottertail -> RE: A Woman’s “Top 10 Reasons I Am No Longer A Leftist” (8/5/2017 7:38:23 AM)

nice spin on her unfactual unreasonings, both by her, and by those who felchgobble that asswipe.

Nothing grounded in reality.

Historically, there is a case to be made to lay responsibility on the West.

Bingo

You nailed her reasoning perfectly

Muslims slaughter thousands of innocent civilians to please Allah, leftist trash instinctively blames America first

Yeah, it's not like America started the war or anything.
And I guess that we will never know how many Saddam would have slaughtered.

Those dead people should be happy that they were killed as a result of American actions as opposed to Saddam's actions.
