the question of "what to do about it" hinges on the answer to the question that highlights (or plagues) the difference between right and left in almost all things---government regulation or not.

one thing that comes to my mind is, the relationship between making something illegal on paper and the extreme difficulty in actually doing so and enforcing it in real life. if we cannot do the latter, should we do the former.

If you cannot enforce laws against abortion then there should be no laws against abortion. Interesting position young man.

ive not read any of the articles in terms of "evidence", that is, whether or not the robot rape or the underage robot (how old are they made up to be?)

even if it doesn't however, one argument against sex like this with the robots is the general coarsening of humanity that might occur through it.

It turns out that sex dolls are high maintenance

A former professional sex doll repairman has lifted the lid on what happens to over-used sex dolls — and it’s not pretty.

Slade Fiero estimates he patched up well over 100 of the pricey sex aids during his decade-long career but he claims that it wasn’t overuse that left the $2,500 lust vessels in tatters — it was bad storage.

Speaking to The Sun Online, Fiero explained: “If a person takes care of their doll, she’ll last a very long time with regular use.”

“Storage, cleaning and care are key in longevity.

“Not being stored properly they can acquire pressure creases which end up turning into big tears and open rips that are sometimes irreparable.”

“Those areas are under the arms, behind the knees, at the crotch and in the elbow arm pit also. Any moving joint basically.”

But that doesn’t mean that every repair was as simple as using some latex glue to repair a tear or rip, or replacing one of the doll’s orifices.

Some of the dolls sent to Fiero were so badly damaged that he was left feeling incredibly uncomfortable to the point that he refused to ever repair the customer’s doll again.

He recalls: “I had a sexually violent man who literally f–ked the left leg off of his doll.”

“He brought his doll to me twice for repair, after the second time I told him to never contact me again!”

“The guy was a complete piece of s–t. A f—king a–hole womanizing scumbag.”

“Every person on this planet is worth respect until proven otherwise — but not to that guy.”

“How he spoke about and treated women is a really sore subject with me.”

That wasn’t the only tricky client Fiero had to deal with, and he admits there were other dolls who had clearly been treated badly.

He added: “It wasn’t suspect at all, it was obvious.”

“I’ve seen plenty of dolls that weren’t taken care of. Men suck on a lot of different levels.”

“Dealing with some people’s sexuality is a trying experience when it crosses our own lines. We all have them, me included.”

“Even when it comes to dolls, having respect is important considering what it represents.”
