Fact is, N. Korea is a buffer zone for the Chinese between the mainland and a ring of US allies stretching across the sea.

They aren't going to allow any invasion there. Ever. No matter how nutty the N. Korean leader.

If Trump did what you say, sure, it would like China -- and it would hit the US very hard as well. Not a smart move.

Unless you're ready to tank our economy in the process.

If I were Trump...behind closed doors... I would threaten a complete forfeit of money owed China and a total economic ban on all Chinese goods sold in America...

Even those stupid fucking hats and Ivanka's clothing line?

Musicmystery -> RE: Technically North Korea is Obama's Fault (8/11/2017 9:02:53 AM)

Yeah, even worse, they could revoke Trump's brand new Chinese trademarks.

Now that's something Americans are ready to die for.

kdsub -> RE: Technically North Korea is Obama's Fault (8/11/2017 9:02:58 AM)

I think any tank in the economy with be short term... I think we are far better able to do without China than they us...especially when our western European allies would most certainly support an action that does not require war.

I think that's bizarrely naive. Our economies are tightly interwoven, both in debt and trade, and in major ways.

kdsub -> RE: Technically North Korea is Obama's Fault (8/11/2017 11:03:41 AM)

If you can come up with just one workable alternative I'd love to hear it... There are degrees of everything and our economic dependency on China could be quickly lessened with new markets in western Europe... But I don't think we would be pushed that far... I believe the threat and some tentative action on the threat would be enough to push China into reining in N. Korea.

I think they would realize if the US and its allies in western Europe, along with countries already full of fear of China, were to stop buying their goods their economy would collapse... It's people, out of jobs, and more attuned to a middle class existence could upend their control.

I am not saying there would be no hardship but I believe in the end the US would regain some of its industrial might and come out of the economic downturn stronger for the future... and no debt to China.

I think the property deals his son in law has been busily setting up in mainland China since el presidente became a world leader rather than a real estate developer trying to build on credit would probably go down the tubes as well.

kd: exactly why would any country in west europe support a president who's been trash talking about them since he was sworn in and who refuses to provide any military support to NATO? He's as near as makes no odds picked a fight with Germany's premiere already, FFS.

Working with China instead of campaigning on insulting them would be a good start. They really control this situation as much as anyone, so it's their way or nothing.

China says lift sanctions so talks start. We say get rid of nukes and then we'll talk. That's obviously a non-starter. It's not going to happen that way--ever.

This is the part where you're bizarrely naive. The damage would be both ways.

So you just have to convince Americans that having a sucky economy is worth it.

AND you're going to have to refinance all the debt China holds. Who's going to buy that? Especially after shafting our own economy? Interest rates and inflation would soar.

So let me get this straight . . .

Trump, instead of solving the problem, is blaming someone else?

How . . . typically Trump.

Hell he went back and blamed the past several presidents today, calling them out by name.

Nothing shows leadership like talking shit about your predecessors instead of talking about your solution to the problem.

[:'(]

Clinton helped them get started, Bush and Obama did nothing to slow them down, so of course
Trump should pretend there was no problem till he took office . So soon you forget about 8 years of everything being Bushes fault.

Well, it was.

Musicmystery -> RE: Technically North Korea is Obama's Fault (8/11/2017 11:41:54 AM)

I heard it was Obama himself who separated North and South Korea by drawing a line across the peninsula with his big black dick.

WhoreMods -> RE: Technically North Korea is Obama's Fault (8/11/2017 11:46:49 AM)

if it stretched out that long, he's big even for a black guy.

Trump is not blaming anyone. I am blaming Obama. Trump had 6 months to deal with North Korea. And it's too late. Obama had 8 years to keep preventing them from getting successful.
So this isn't from Trump. But clearly, North Korea had at least 8 previous years to keep trying over and over again until they succeed.

I will not blame anybody before Obama because fact is, they did slow North Korea down. That's why North Korea haven't succeeded in their weapons while Obama was President, because previous Presidents slowed them down or block them.

Obama would not have had to do anything had Bush not ended the deal allowing inspectors onsite with 24x7 zero notice access to all sites and the fuel rods.

Bush didn't slow them down. He accelerated them full throttle.

Why do you keep telling that same lie over and over again?

Thanks to an agreement brokered by the Clinton administration, the rods were locked in a storage facility under the monitoring of international weapons-inspectors. Common sense dictated that whatever it did about the centrifuges, the Bush administration should do everything possible to keep the fuel rods locked up.

Unfortunately, common sense was in short supply. After a few shrill diplomatic exchanges over the uranium, Pyongyang upped the ante. The North Koreans expelled the international inspectors, broke the locks on the fuel rods, loaded them onto a truck, and drove them to a nearby reprocessing facility, to be converted into bomb-grade plutonium.

The White House stood by and did nothing. Why did George W. Bush, his foreign policy avowedly devoted to stopping “rogue regimes” from acquiring weapons of mass destruction, allow one of the world’s most dangerous regimes to acquire the makings of the deadliest WMDs ?

Because North Korea has no oil reserves and something resembling an army, obvs.

WickedsDesire -> RE: Technically North Korea is Obama's Fault (8/11/2017 12:06:38 PM)

Well yes, so the neocons wanted a nuclear NK so there would be yet another place for yet more war. War is a very good thing for the capitalist...beery berry profitable.

Hell, if the US and the power-behind-the-throne play their cards right, I see war with Iran and NK as being Trillion$ in the bank. You can be sure, they and their cohorts, won't be doing any of the dying.

Just yet another example of Kant having been correct 2 centuries ago, as long as such men rule the world, history will always be...written in blood. In this case, lots and lots of Korean blood...on both sides.

WickedsDesire -> RE: Technically North Korea is Obama's Fault (8/11/2017 12:15:25 PM)

I have never once made that complaint for my benefit ever - perhaps people on here should talk more - I myself have emailed you once have I not since i noticed you? Unlikely that statement is untrue. You do make me smile an awful lot though ;)

But dont put such ideas into my head.
Why stop at two for the ravenous bitches - anyway everyone who follows me knows I am a twin

Wow

What an insane howler you are

You have a fat little socialist fuck who probably looks a lot like you, who starves his own people, building nuclear-tipped missiles and threatening the innocent people of Guam with a nuclear holocaust... And YOU blame the system that has done more to make the people of the world fat and happy than anything else ever could

The worst part, is that leftists like you vote

China has just issued a statement saying they would remain neutral if N Korea attacked the US but would not allow an American preemptive strike without retaliation.

If I were Trump...behind closed doors... I would threaten a complete forfeit of money owed China and a total economic ban on all Chinese goods sold in America...and damn well mean it.... No matter the hardship. China should not be allowed to support the N. Korean regime and also benefit from our economic partnership. If this were pursued as a policy I think the N. Korean regime would fall in a short time.

Better than H-Bombs or a ground war with China.

Butch

Who the phoque do you think you are? Where do you get off telling a sovereign country what sort of weaponry they may own?

WickedsDesire -> RE: Technically North Korea is Obama's Fault (8/11/2017 12:45:20 PM)

I should just put you all over my knee and batter the fuk out of all of you....and I, a loon, who was once handsomeish, or is it wino, am down to three appearance per week - oi who cheered?

Fuk north korea - they have to be ended, well the regime for sure.

One of the finest movies ever made was Team America, a rare gem

The Team America Puke Scene...

why do you think that is my favourite scene whoremods as you must have wondered why by now...why that scene for me? (did you ever watch it btw?)

The movie itself is a 10/10
