When all of the hacked information was released, Hillary's response was, "It was hacked by the Russians." Not, "ya we screwed Bernie." I thought it was a weird, funny response. Then, all of the Dems and the news media (like that's a different thing) ran with it. It still astounds me that the Russians is really the issue they believe is important. It really is a cartoon world for them.

Distributing the information wouldn't have been seen as a crime, just the opposite. "Some brave patriotic soul doing his country a huge favor" or whatever, "deserving of a medal". Look at how they are reacting to all of the felonious leaks from the White House, from Mueller, from the Grand Jury, and everywhere else That the leaks are serious crimes isn't mentioned. That the president of the United States cannot speak to other world leaders is all fun and games to them, though national security is seriously compromised

Two anonymous people claim that they have analysed data they do not have access to, and have drawn some conclusions regarding how such a "hack" might have been done, and this somehow invalidates the assessment of the majority of the U.S. intelligence community. Is that about right? Wow, your spies must really fucking suck big time.

The US intelligence community allegedly is relying on the analysis of the DNC hired team who may or may not have a bias towards fingering Russia.

Whatever about the Russians not coming, one thing for sure is the Mueller's investigation is coming for Mannafort. Mannafort's house was raided under a search warrant by investigators for Mueller recently. The search warrant was granted by a court, which in turn means that there was enough evidence presented to the court to establish "probable cause" to the court's satisfaction. We are not privy to the evidence Mueller presented to the court, or the possible offences being pursued, but the mere fact that a judge was persuaded that there was sufficient evidence to establish "probable cause" tells us that there is a very real basis to the investigation, and that the defence presented thus far by Trump and Co is redundant. The claims of 'witch hunt" and "fake news" no longer carry any water. I await with bated breath the next series of excuses, evasions and rationalisations coming from the Trump camp ... as the investigation gets closer and closer to arrests charges and trials. Will the President plead the Fifth ...? Will Flynn spill the beans in return for immunity ...? Will someone else turn stool pigeon and rat on all the others...? Who will Trump dump next in order to save himself and his catastrophic Presidency ...? Will the GOP cut its losses and turn on Trump before he drags them down with him ...?
