Whatever about the Russians not coming, one thing for sure is the Mueller's investigation is coming for Mannafort. Mannafort's house was raided under a search warrant by investigators for Mueller recently. The search warrant was granted by a court, which in turn means that there was enough evidence presented to the court to establish "probable cause" to the court's satisfaction.

We are not privy to the evidence Mueller presented to the court, or the possible offences being pursued, but the mere fact that a judge was persuaded that there was sufficient evidence to establish "probable cause" tells us that there is a very real basis to the investigation, and that the defence presented thus far by Trump and Co is redundant. The claims of 'witch hunt" and "fake news" no longer carry any water.
