If the people concerned don't believe in and desire equality of men and women, then they're not feminists. It's not a question of my belief - that's part of what feminism just is. Now, if RM wants to talk about certain women, or certain people, I'm fine with that.

As with many movements there are more than one branch of feminism. Moderate Feminism is much like you describe. But there other
braches whos definition of equality means that men have to become like women. Remember the slogan a woman needs a man like a fish
needs a bicycle?

The way I've always had it is that in the moment that someone claims that he or she is into feminism for power's sake - to gain female supremacy, for instance - he or she should be called out on it. That isn't feminism and I, for one, would say so. I've never supported any overt female supremacist on this board (a few here might be astonished to note). But there are all sorts of difficulties involved in talking about 'equality', of course.

That may be, and I note for the most part my readings of your posts my understanding would agree. But, I've yet to see a time when RM made a valid point that you backed him against the hate mongers like Stef. I'll look for it in the future.
