But, was there not hatred and bigotry on display by the counterprotesters? Was there not violence (nowhere near as bad as ramming with a car, but it's still violence, isn't it?) at their hands, too? So, Trump didn't single out the white supremacists. The Left is pissed because he also came out against their hatred, bigotry, and violence. How fucking stupid is that? Both sides were in the wrong. Trump called them both out for it.
