Threats of violence are once again being used by leftists as an excuse to try to stop opposition speech

What are the odds that the left will turn to actual violence, if their threats fail to stop the speech:

Phoenix on high alert for Trump rally

Political leaders and law enforcement officials in Arizona are on high alert ahead of President Trump’s campaign rally Tuesday night in Phoenix.

The big question is whether there will be more supporters of Trump inside the Phoenix Convention Center, which holds 29,000, or protestors outside.

Trump’s response to the violence at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va., has become the biggest controversy to date of his presidency.


The Phoenix rally, as a result, has become an opportunity for Trump’s opponents to show their force.

Some GOP leaders, such as Gov. Doug Ducey, are steering clear of the rally entirely.

Trump is moving ahead with the event despite a plea from Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, a Democrat, that he stay away.

Stanton said in a statement that he is “disappointed” that Trump would hold a campaign rally while the nation “is still healing from the tragic events in Charlottesville.”

Phoenix Police Chief Jeri Williams said in a statement that her force will have “maximum staffing during the visit.”

The department is “working 24/7 with our partners to ensure all of our resources are in place,” Williams said.

Stanton said the city is committed to keeping everyone inside and outside the arena safe.

“The Phoenix police is always professional and the FBI and Department of Homeland Security have been great about coordinating with local law enforcement,” former Arizona GOP Chairman Robert Graham told The Hill.

Charlottesville isn’t the only reason to think the Phoenix rally could be combustible.

The president has mused publicly about pardoning Joe Arpaio, the controversial former sheriff of Maricopa County, Ariz., and an early Trump supporter who was found guilty of racially profiling Latinos. Arpaio, who was prosecuted and convicted of racial profiling by former President Barack Obama’s Justice Department, is a well-known and controversial figure in Phoenix.

Democrats are warning that a public pardon at a campaign rally would stoke racial tensions at a time when the nation is on edge.

Stanton said a pardon would “enflame emotions and further divide our nation,” while Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) said Arpaio “shouldn’t be let off the hook for his crimes” just so Trump can win “some bonus points with his most racist supporters.”

But some Republicans in the state believe Arpaio was railroaded by the Obama Justice Department and are eager to see his name cleared.

Hey Bosco, do you ever feel a little bit weird that you're probably siding with America-haters across the globe - Islamist radicals included? I'm just picturing them, now, sitting back in their armchairs and chortling away: "What's the point in us sending off Ali to smash lots of Americans when they're gung ho to do that to each other for us themselves?"

Not really, no: it's a lot more pathetic than that. Falwell at least had the backbones and balls to be blatantly anti-intellectual and admit that he was opposed to freedom of thought, while none of these pussies doing the mealy mouth about Nazi rights have dared to admit that their own line towards freedom of speech and expression is entirely partisan.

If they came out and admitted they were Nazis, RWNJs like BoscoX would feel less comfortable supporting them.
Not because he is opposed to Nazi ideas, but because it's socially unacceptable to support Nazis.

No matter how violent you are about it, opposing Nazism doesn't make someone a Nazi. Yet this is the argument you will hear from the RWNJs every single time, as if Nazism is merely about opposing free speech or using violence to achieve your goals.

Timeline sequence a bit off...

Far right groups respond to the violence with violence of their own.

A peaceful protest against removing historical monuments devolves into a riot.

Crazy white supremacist nut job that worked in Hillary Clinton's campaign and not affiliated with any of the parading groups rams a car into a mixed crowd of Black Bloc and other protestors killing one and injuring several. (Faith Goldy of Canada's "Rebel Media" had just crossed the road before the car rammed the crowd. Her cameraman got very accurate footage of the event.)

Mainstream media has a hissy fit claiming it was all the fault of the parading groups with the parade permit. No mainstream coverage of the attacks by the groups that showed up trying to shut down the protest rally at all. Youtube full of raw footage of attacks on the right wing groups.

Donald Trump states he things there was fault on both sides for the injuries and death.

Mainstream media has a hissy fit claiming Trump supports racist hate groups.

If it's okay for violent mobs to take the law into their own hands and physically attack those with whom they disagree, people who they consider are bad or "evil" or whatever... Why is it not okay to punch a Muslim.

Why is it not okay to punch a Democrat, or a feminist, or BLM terrorists.

After all, laws don't apply anymore and we are all judge, jury and executioner now. Every one of us.
