Parked the other day, and just as I was getting out, a traffic warden walked up, and said "Thats a dissabled parking bay" "yes" "So, what's your disability?" "I've got tourretes you fucking cunt!" J

I'm not saying I hate disabled people, but we all need to separate humour from seriousness. No cause has ever been helped by not talking about it. If something features in our humour, it features in our serious conversations as well, and progress can be made. If we don't joke about it, we don't talk about it, and a stigma surrounds it. This is very true. I was horrified to hear that a close friend of mine was just diagnosed with the early stages of Parkinson's Disease. I tried to offer up sympathy, but he brushed it off, saying that now his wife will always have a vibrator. I didn't want to laugh, but I can see the humor in it, and am glad he's able to joke about it. Also, if anyone follows Last Comic Standing, there's a guy in the top 4 right now who has cerebral palsy. He's a hoot and one of the favorites to win.

What ain't funny is knowing there's a bannana peel directly in someone's path, knowing that for them a half inch transition in level is a mountain...and, while having enough time to do so.... ...still not removing the bannana peel. (And then laughing). (I've just always felt that other people's misfortunes aren't all that funny...but that's me)

If not, you will be a very depressed individual... LTR, are you on any kind of Anti-depressants, or being treated for depression?? If not, i think you should be... If you can't find the humor in things, there is something wrong... and if someone is laughing at themselves, you should laugh with them... If windchyme's friend told YOU that, and laughed, would you tell HIM that it's not funny, and he shouldn't laugh at his own misfortune? Sorry.. It is SO funny when I can't find a disability parking space and it's 110 out and I have to stumble along up over the curb of the sidewalk because the ramp is waaaaaaaaay down there and I'm waaaaaaaaaaay over here because some dumb fuck was "just gonna be a minute" running in to the store and out (yeah right). Want to know what is really funny? My pulling behind him to block the asshole in the spot while I call the cops to report the parking vilation and seeing them show up right when the jerk comes out. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! FUNNY STUFF!. We "disabled" have a name for you- TAB.. it means Temorarily Able Bodied. We all are disabiled inthe end to some extent. What? You don't think my post is funny? Gad.. you just have no sense of humor!

My friend has Tourettes and he said it was hilarious. Actually, he said it was "fucking hilarious" but I didn't want to run the risk.

Someone who makes the OP's joke will probably not be the asshole who parks in a handicapped spot, just as he wouldn't insult a cop. Your joke was essentially a "here's what we should do to the assholes" thing, not fictitious. That having been said, I do think it would be funny to laugh at the poor guy's misfortune of getting what you think he deserves. I laugh at anyone's misfortune when they get what I think they deserve. (Reminds me of the time a Jehovah's Witness came to my door, then upon leaving, fell down the stairs and died. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. He deserved it for inconveniencing me.) I will leave it up to the individual reader to separate humour from commentary. Yours, benji
