Its Labour day here too, and for the same reasons:)

If "unions" weren't synonymous with both organized crime and leftist activism it would be better all around. As it is though, crooked fat cat union bosses force workers to fund worthless union hierarchies as well as pet radical political causes and politicians that no thinking person would support on their own

Most of the money they take from the workers never goes where it's really needed, and that's just normal every day procedure for most unions

Their day is over. Relics from the days when Democrats were lynching blacks (rather than aborting black children as they do currently) that are not only unneeded but are also horribly counterproductive in many different ways

Musicmystery -> RE: Happy Labor Day! (9/4/2017 9:00:12 AM)

Much the same could be said for Trump.

There's a reason the powers that be try to clip unions. They don't like people banding together and standing up for themselves.

But in America, that's how it is. Get used to it.

Happy Labor Day.

This laughable idiocy, from the same howler who wants nothing worse than to undermine the results of a free and fair election through any means possible [:D]

Musicmystery -> RE: Happy Labor Day! (9/4/2017 9:08:19 AM)

It's really not.

Read a newspaper from time to time. Find out what's happening in the world and in your own country.

StWrinklemeat -> RE: Happy Labor Day! (9/4/2017 9:37:56 AM)

leftist activism I shouldn't really have laughed at that bit. I thought we agreed not to teach him new words. I suppose I better amend it for him.

If "unions" CockWomble Orange weren't synonymous with both organized crime and leftist activism it would be better all around. As it is though, crooked fat cat union bosses Trump force workers America to fund worthless union hierarchies harebrained schemes as well as pet radical political causes walls and politicians political divide that no thinking person would support on their own.

No! Uncle Stalky Sock Christ even I am getting confused now. You could be the handsome devilish aquatic mn-ottertail?

I always fancied number 7 The looker with the nice tits in Star Trek Tits.

America and the Brits have about the worst employment laws and conditions in the G20 nations. I guess the essence of slavery never really left those two nations.

As a Union member, I thank you for this post!
In an era of declining unions, I feel so sorry for many that are non-union members.
Only 11.3% of ALL working people, are members of labor unions in this day and age.

Thanks to policies started in the Reagan era, and many years of greedy corporate soulless bastards and the
equally bastard/soulless politicians that have assisted in destroying labor unions and labor laws, the Middle Class has/and is
being decimated.

NYT- the cost of the decline of labor unions

Happy Labor Day to everyone!

Marini -> RE: Happy Labor Day! (9/4/2017 11:55:41 AM)

Newsflash, for the ignorant or uniformed.

Declining Unions have hurt everyone!

USA Today-- Declining Unions Hurt all Workers wages

EPI - Decline of unions hurts ALL workers

I could go on and on...Capitalism at its finest.

Marini -> RE: Happy Labor Day! (9/4/2017 12:14:48 PM)

As someone that had many different jobs when I was younger, both union and non-union,
one of the MAIN reasons I have stayed with my current job, {going on 18 years}, is because I have
a fairly strong union.

I could have the same job much closer to home, and be a non-union member.

No thank you!

Without the unions and the current labor laws, most greedy soulless corporate bastards/corporations/and the evil
politicians that support them, would have most of us in slavery if it were possible.

...wanders off muttering about evil, greedy soulless corporate bastards, and equally evil soulless bastard politicians.

HaveRopeWillBind -> RE: Happy Labor Day! (9/4/2017 12:30:10 PM)

The middle class in America was basically brought about by unions.
Now that the unions are being killed off, the middle class is vanishing.
No economy based on consumerism can survive without a middle class.
Killing off the unions means the death of the middle class, and that means the end of the US as a major world power.

Sadly, the sort of "libertarian" who thinks that they'll magically become a member of the plutocracy if they spout enough drivel dissing the uppity proles online seem to have more of a voice than any rational analysis of the situation.
Great, innit?
