Status: offline 		The 'security' part? I can kind of buy that. Wherever he's evacuating to probably doesn't have the home security system that he's probably got at his house address. It only takes one lunatic.

Doesn't really concern me about his theories about if Irma is hype, that it's due to climate change he doesn't believe exists, or whatever. It's better to let his production crew evacuate if they are in the path of the storm.

Status: offline 		Never was a big fan of Rush, he's always reminded me of a modern day Goebbels, not in a Nazi sense, more in a technique sense. But I don't begrudge him getting out of Florida. After all, he is neighbors with Oprah down there on Star Island, and my guess is that she isn't riding it out down there either. Big O is probably back in her hometown of Chicago watching it all on TV. Anyone with any sense got out of Miami days ago.

Are saying that you don't think Lush Limpaw is a "wealthy republican" or that you don't think he called Irma a hoax?

Because if it is the later, it would seem that you didn't read what he said about Irma in the OP.

Of course you could be trying to say that he didn't "directly" call Irma a hoax but that the hyperbole of disaster being heaped upon Irma by the "media" was a hoax but even that would seem untrue because Irma is twice the size of Andrew and Andrew was pretty much considered to have been a real disaster and not just made up by the "media".

Also twice the size is not just a multiple but is exponential which means the destruction of Irma is likely to be, not just twice as bad but exponentially worse and to me that means that the "media" cannot use enough hyperbole to save lives in Florida and so is not just trying to push a "Liberal Agenda" as Lush suggests.

Contrary to the liberal media hysterics, Rush Limbaugh did not call hurricane Irma a hoax. Limbaugh was asserting that the alarm about "catastrophic" Florida damage was media hype to create fear and panic. He never claimed the storm was a hoax or that it could not do extreme damage. He was commenting on the unrealistic connections made by the left between this hurricane and "climate change."

In the context of all the hyper critical response in the liberal media to their own changed versions of Limbaugh's remarks, I would say he had a point
