It was strictly PR, Trump didn't write it or even ask for it to be written and He signed it, not because believed it or supported it but because he was told to sign it, to try and calm the uproar he had started with his previous comments on the matter.

Also, I'd like to interject that I find the "right" to be hilarious in this matter. In this forum, I’ve been told that "Nazis" are a part of the "Alt-left" and now it seems that the "Alt-left" group Antifa is attacking the other "Alt-left" group the "Nazis". It seems that the "right" has no violent groups, only the "Alt-left" groups are violent and now the "Alt-left" has so many violent groups that they are now attacking each other. Maybe someone should sit the "Alt-left" down and explain that they are all on the same side. It's this sort of "fuzzy logic" on the part of the "right" that makes it hard to discuss anything with Trump supporters.
