Status: offline 		Of course male teachers are declining in schools. We have developed a society where any adult male who speaks to a child is suspected of being a child predator. Especially so if he happens to be over 40 and single. Why in the world would a man put himself in a position to be under constant suspicion when all he is trying to do is educate some kids? Adult males can't work with children anymore without being thought of as probable pedophiles.

Never said they aren't sometimes. It does happen in some cases.
But women aren't automatically under suspicion the moment they take a job working with children in the way that men are these days.

Status: offline 		The ironic side of that is that in this area the schools are making a big effort to recruit male teachers for grade schools because the children have become so unruly a lot of the female teachers can't keep them under control.

Status: offline 		Its been a long time since I was in the "school zone", I admit, but my son in law graduated as a teacher two years ago. But in 50 years he will be retired
But its 50 years, education has changed a lot in the past fifty years, hopefully it will change much in the next 50.
This time for the better.
I started school fifty years ago. It was a fucking nightmare. didnt matter what sex the teacher was.
