Damn Muslims gonna spoil one of Australia's favourite vacation spot.

No pre-marital sex or couplings allowed.

And when religious police goes on these things, they raid hotel rooms and ask for marriage certificate. This happens in Malaysia too. And it's jail term.

But anyway, I don't even know why the hell Aussies go there, when their own country got much nicer beaches.

Perhaps just because it's cheaper.

And Singaporeans used to state that Bali is majority Buddhist, so they feel comfortable there.

But doesn't matter. Indonesia is an Islamic country, who cares about the minority Buddhists. They are still gonna instill their Sharia laws.

Wouldn't it be great, if the Muslim apologists here spent a few months carefully watching their step in the midst of majority numbers of 'religion of peace' fascists

I predict this law will be just as enforced as their laws against underage prostitution and drugs.
They aren't going to destroy their entire economy over this-- it's all for show.

It will not be for show. If it's instilled. They will want to make examples out of some people. They will look for people who are physically affectionate in public, as simple as holding hands, and basically interrogate them if they are married and want them to provide evidence of their marriage.

This is what religious police in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia, does on Valentine's Day. And usually, they make alot of arrests during this period.

I guarantee that the tourists will be exempt, and it wouldn't surprise me if it was more about protecting themselves from attacks by the extremists by officially adopting some of their values.

They have had problems with bombings in the past.

How do they protect themselves from "extremists" by forbidding pre-marital sex?

Because the past bombings were essentially protests against hedonism.

Sure would have made "South Pacific" an entirely different movie.

Ignorance begetting bigotry ....

Most Balinese people are neither Muslim nor Buddhist. They are Hindus.

You do realise this doesn't matter as Bali is Indonesia and Indonesia is a Muslim country govern by Islamic laws. Doesn't matter what religion exists in Bali as a majority.

This law was not the work of Hindus for sure. It was the work the of Muslims.
