Fifty-three percent of white women and 42 percent of women overall voted for President Donald Trump rather than Hilary Clinton in the 2016 election. And Michelle Obama has some thoughts as to why.

“Quite frankly we saw this in this election, as far as I’m concerned. Any woman who voted against Hillary Clinton voted against their own voice in a way,” she said. “To me, it doesn’t say as much about Hillary Clinton ― and everybody’s trying to wonder. Well, what does it mean for Hillary? ― No, no, no. What does it mean for us as women? That we look at those two candidates, as women, and many of us said, ‘That guy. He’s better for me. His voice is more true to me.’ Well, to me that just says you don’t like your voice. You like the thing you’re told to like.”

She said it is vitally important for women to value their own voices and their own selves, instead of being silenced.

Just what we women need to hear! If you don't vote for a woman. You are betraying your gender!

SERIOUSLY??? Michelle??? I am so disappointed you start the woman's card too!

Hillary didn't get female support because she used the woman's card!

Women want their Female President to win by Meritocracy and not because she is a woman, so women gotta vote for their own kind!

I mean how condescending it is to say that "Voting for a man is allowing a man to tell you how to think?"

WTF, your husband is a male President too!

I am whinging about her hypocrisy criticizing women for voting for a man instead of a woman. Especially coming from a woman who had a husband as a MALE PRESIDENT.

These same women voted for the MALE in her husband too.

As an admirer of Michelle Obama....

I have to concede that I agree with this post 100%. Shameless playing of the woman card here.

I think Michelle Obama was really trying to say was "If you are a woman, and you voted for Trump then you betray your gender." (If she had said THAT, then I would agree)

However that is not what she actually said.

Status: offline 		She said that by voting for a man, we are basically stiffling a woman's voice. She considers "Hillary voice", "Our voice". Because Hillary is a woman. And JUST BECAUSE she is a woman. She is OUR VOICE.

Voting for trump is no betrayer of our gender at all. I definitely want to vote for a man who raise a Daughter like Ivanka Trump and empowered her so much. He is a role model for how ALL fathers should raise their daughters. To be independent and she was told as a woman, she could do anything and there were no limitation to womanhood. And as a father, she was always there for her. Ivanka said herself that, she could call her dad anytime when she was kid and he would stop everything to hear what she had to say.

People try to make it so dirty because his daughter is successful and attractive and they have a loving relationship as father and daughter. But you can clearly see, she is healthy and well and happy and somehow possess amazing diplomacy which possibly is from her mom.

On top of that. Trump actually successfully raised alcohol and drug free kids! (And believe me with the dirt the media trying to pile on Trump, if his kids were fucked on alcohol and drugs, it would be all over the media, the fact that they can't find anything is amazing)

Whereas you see pictures of Obama kids getting fucked on alcohol and drugs. Look they are just ordinary kids having harmless fun, being kids. But I'm saying it's a feat if you are able to raise children to have the discipline to stay away from those things.

And in context to my own country. Our Founder, raised his daughter to be intelligent and independent too. She became head of neurology in our local hospital, was a top brain surgeon. But it was something he actively instilled in her daughter that she can lead and rise to top if she wanted to.

How many female brain surgeons are there in this world? You know, it's impressive.

I think she is probably upset that they chose a man who sexually assaults women over a woman... as well as a horde of Christian fascists who want to take away a woman's right to choose, access to birth control, etc.

I on the other hand could see it coming.
GOP voters are never intelligent or informed enough to make real decisions anyways.
They will just vote for whoever runs... that's not a real decision.

When Mitt Romney won, it was all about the free market, hail the rich (they earned it), cut all social spending, etc.
Trump runs, and it's all about spending billions on walls, immigration police and Hillary being backed by Wall Street.

You can't actually betray anyone when you aren't capable of logic or making your own choices.

53% of white women of the entire election voted for Trump. And 43% of minority women of the whole election voted for Trump.

These percentages includes GOP/Dems/Others.

So why are you singling out GOP women?

I think one of Trump's goals is to get Europe to step up more in terms of using their taxpayer money to help the world.

Trump hasn't made any move to ban abortion and I believe he has zero intention to even pursue this issue. Fortunately Pence is just Vice President with no power.

So fact is, Trump did not show up and was not there.

I actually agree with some form of penalty for women who did not take any responsibility to prevent an unwanted baby. But I suggested community service. And of course the men involve in impregnating her would get equal punishment.

Of course this does not include women with genuine medical conditions that makes them unable to take any contraceptive methods. OR women who got raped against their will to be very fair.

They need to devise a way where, take for example, "She prick a hole in the condom of a male and got pregnant and then wanted to abort the baby"

Or she lied to male she was on contraceptive because she wanted sleeveless sex, and then got pregnant.

Basically, I can't stand women who use abortion as birth control.
