yeh, nothing could be further from the truth, selling freedom as free from when its nothing more than a commercial franchise, and jumping out of common law to color of law, has no resemblance to 'free from', but permission to. these countries dont like us any more than they liked russia, of course as far as we are concerned we are knight in shiny white saviors.

I saw the next one too and may go back to watch it now. You are quite correct and don't know that I would (or could) have written this any better. What Kennedy did when he first gave a speech on civil rights was state it correctly as a moral problem. He was correct then and even now most questions in America are...a moral issue. It is that way because America is over time, gradually becoming a more immoral country. Its tax and health care and spending priorities are immoral. Full civil rights speech. HERE

Back in the 90s William Jefferson (Blythe) Clinton had the temerity to equate himself with JFK (even though he supposedly idolized the man). Having been a fan of Kennedy myself (what I knew about him, after his death. I wasn't born until after he died), I started looking for any similarities between the two. Clinton was a pretty damned good orator, but the content of his speeches was the very beginning of identity politics. Kennedy was a staunch anti-communist. Clinton? Not so much, having taken $500,000,000 from the Chinese government for his 1996 re-election campaign. Kennedy believed in service to one's country. Clinton believed in dodging his country's call and smoking dope on foreign soil while berating his. Kennedy was a man with flaws, but at his core, he was a decent man. Clinton and his political progeny are scum of the earth. I like to think: "If Kennedy were alive today, he'd be a Libertarian (leaning toward conservatism)", but I know the truth is: he'd have devolved his views, right along with his party. Kennedy spoke in favor of patriotism. That's all you have to do to be labeled a "fascist" today. A well known figure speaking of owing a debt to your country will ignite a twitter storm today. Convince me I'm wrong.
