Kasich is too liberal to be a Democrat. Unless you buy into totalitarian bolshevik B.S.; the DNC has no place for you.

Oh come on, you can't possibly believe that.

With the actions of this past election; the DNC is sure pushing things in that direction. I really shouldn't have said the DNC. The political machine and old money really doesn't care what you believe as long as they get to pull the strings and stay in power.
But, the "perception IS reality" crowd the Hillary campaigned inflamed to the ignition point is certainly rioting in the streets with just that agenda; Marxism or death. i.e. Antifa and B.A.M.N.

You're equating the DNC with antifa?? Seriously?
Antifa doesn't seem to believe in anything except using violence to protest the alt-right/white supremacists.
They don't want to bring socialism to the US, FFS.

And Hillary DEFINITELY isn't a Marxist. Nothing she had planned was in any way Marxist.
Bernie identified as a socialist and she mocked him as unrealistic.
Really, she's just another neoliberal who wants to keep going down the path the US has been on since Reagan.

So if Hillary is a Marxist, what do you think about Canada? How about Europe? Australia? Are they communist dictatorships?
They have universal health care, social programs, public broadcasting, promote multiculturalism, etc.

I have to admit, even though we disagree you at least you seem to conduct yourself with dignity... but the second someone starts equating antifa with the DNC, they are seriously in danger of losing all credibility.

Hillary didn't accuse Obama of being a Muslim, and in fact openly denied it.

Just like Trump denies alot of things people accuse him of too. Uh huh!

quote:

As for the 2016 campaign, I was talking more about the direct appeals to racism, protectionism, foreign barbarian invasion narratives, etc.
All of the stuff he borrowed from the Eurofascist movements, basically.

It's one thing to attack a candidate personally because you want to win, and another to repackage fascism and thrust it on the ignorant masses.

You do understand this is how democracy works right? Trump repackaged NOTHING!

He understood what majority wanted. And he campaign on the issues that matter to them! Hillary insulted them and dismissed them instead of listening to their concerns. Guess what? In a democracy, people vote for people who they feel is listening to them and giving a damn about their concerns. Hillary was appealing to the wrong crowd. She didn't do her calculation right. In terms of how US election works, where she actually needs to win over states, not majority of the population which majority are in left leaning states. She was not pandering to the correct issues. And on top of that, she also blame Bernie for making unrealistic campaign ideas which drew her potential voters away from her. But guess what? Both Bernie and Trump have listened to the working class people, and BOTH offered two different solutions to the same problem. Hillary was the only one, who was like fuck care about them, they were too ignorant and uneducated to deserve her time, all she needed was all the rich people's vote. Which was her downfall, and she dare to blame Bernie too.

It's just like Myammar Aung getting alot of shit for doing nothing about Rohingyas. But reality of the matter is overwhelming majority of Myammar locals want Rohingyas OUT OF THE COUNTRY! Like 90%. If she wants to stay "elected" in the country to enable any kind of change. She needs to stick with what majority wants.

Welcome to democracy!

When my country complains to the government about too much foreigners in Singapore. The government has to respect what majority wants and start cutting down the foreign worker quota. Which they listened and did. As the year they ignored us, we voted more opposition into the parliament. And when they listened, they got 70% win again.

That's democracy again.

MercTech -> RE: Kasich gonna resign from GOP (10/2/2017 12:31:34 PM)

Hillary Clinton is a machine politician. No left, no right, all for the machine. Hillary Clinton and the DNC pandered to those spewing Marxist rhetoric for votes. And the DNC along with Hillary painted anyone who didn't vote for her as vile "deplorables" further dividing the country and, in come groups, legitimizing violence.
But, the inflammatory way the DNC and Hillary Clinton handled the campaign in 2016 brought on the growth and insanity of BAMN and Antifa.
Just as arming dissident islamics brought on ISIS; the rhetoric legitimatizing violence against a different opinion has fueled riots.

A person who cares about the populace and wants to maximize individual freedom (a classic liberal stance) is not going to work well with bolshevik ideologues and those that pander to them for power. So, yeah, too liberal for the DNC.

Well, no he didn't... because he didn't win in a landslide, and he didn't win the popular vote.
The majority either didn't vote or voted for Hillary.

That's exactly how Hitler came to power as well... he didn't seize power through force (except through voter intimidation, which the GOP also practices), he was democratically elected.

And like Trump, he wasn't loved by all, and was routinely mocked and belittled as a non-threat... but he also tapped into the angry populist vote.
He then used it to destroy democracy and establish a brutal totalitarian regime.

I have never said that Trump didn't have appeal.

Again, the majority DIDN'T want Trump.

And the problem with Hillary is that she thought that people would look at Trump and see him for what he was.
Sadly, that didn't happen.
She knew what she was talking about, knew the solutions weren't simple, knew what to realistically offer and expect-- the problem is that reality is at odds with what people want to hear.

Even if that were true, the problem is that people are too stupid for democracy to work.

Here's the article:

According to the theory, the democratic process relies on the assumption that a majority of citizens recognise the best political candidate, or best policy idea, when they see it.
But a growing body of research has implied that democratic elections produce mediocre leadership and policies.
Research led by Professor David Dunning, a psychologist at Cornell University, shows incompetent people are inherently unable to judge the competence of other people, or the quality of those people's ideas.

Nope. I don't do boxes like that. Rejecting the machine that is the Democratic party doesn't imply republican. It just means not wanting to get involved with a power first machine that embraced the Ku Klux Klan, the Nazi party, Fidel Castro, Black Power Terrorists, and the insulting prejudice of low expectations.

Kasich is a worthless liar who is only changing parties because he knows his Republican base hates his guts and won't ever put him up for office again. He campaigned for governor on a platform of not expanding state Medicaid benefits, and immediately after taking office did just that, betraying the very people who voted him in.

Can you read the part where Hillary listened to the wrong people?

US democracy is based on winning majority states and not winning majority people. Trump counted the states and listened to what majority states wanted. He knew which states he MUST win to get more electoral votes. And he focus and listened to what are the issues of those people and basically addressed them.

Hillary counted people and went with what majority people wanted, BUT she forgot that majority of the people are all living in the leftie states. They don't got enough leftie states to win! Leftie states are more populated but they are not enough to win.

So that was her mistake for listening to the wrong people and ignoring the states that will help her win her election.

Trump didn't play any dirty politics. He simply listened and instinctively knew the right things to say. He was instinctive on the situation in the US right now and you know what? Do you realise Trump has for many years said he was gonna run for President and then pussied out last minute? This is because he was also feeling for the right time. And getting the right feel and the right message, before he goes in. As he was strategising to win. He knew he couldn't win against a Black man. But he could win against a White Woman.

bounty44 -> RE: Kasich gonna resign from GOP (10/3/2017 4:26:05 AM)

as a bloc, the majority were people who didn't vote---effectively signaling they didn't care, or were okay with any candidate we ended up with.

so blinker's statement isn't quite accurate.

theres also the idea that the libertarian candidate took more votes away from trump than from Clinton. either way, since there were more then two candidates involved, one cannot make the statement "didn't want trump." its possible one could have wanted trump, but just wanted the candidate they voted for, more.

and look blinker, no townhall needed to straighten you out.

You should have used townhall, because when you just make shit up, it doesn't work.

Non-voting doesn't automatically mean you don't care OR are 'okay with any candidate'... it just means you didn't vote for your own reason.
It could even mean that you don't even know who the candidates are or what they represent... but maybe if you knew, you would feel differently about not voting.
It could mean you don't care about a white woman as much as a black man.
It could mean you think Hillary is going to win anyways so it doesn't matter.
It could mean you're all talk and no action.
It could mean you're being intimidated by Trump voters who are standing around at polling stations looking creepy.

There is absolutely no reason to assume that people who voted for the libertarians would have voted for Trump, especially since Trump was rabidly against free trade.
Of course you wouldn't even remember this because you don't actually care about issues.

You can't 'straighten someone out' by just speculating on things and then assuming you're right.
Declaring victory like that only makes you look even stupider.

LMAO!!! So Trump voter's fault that they block polling booth from Hillary voters!

Okay! New reason!

Oh well, people take for granted they can vote.

I got a Muslim Female President shove down my throat. I can't even vote, because they eliminated all her opponents by deeming them unqualified.

I think our voting turn out at elections is almost like 97% because people here treasure they could vote. In the US, many seem to don't care.

Considering how Kasich was first elected in November of 2010, expanded Medicaid in 2013, and was even re-elected afterwards, I think we know who the liar actually is.
