ORIGINAL: Wayward5oul Are you suggesting that the investigative reporter's free speech was restricted because their employer didn't want to publish their work? A news reporting portal who refuse to report a big crime. Yes, to me, they lost all credibility as a media house to me. And don't deserve "freedom of speech", they should be regulated on content. As they have clearly displayed that they are unable to be proper journalists. Revoking their license to report news seem to be fair. They should just stick to entertainment. They don't deserve freedom of speech? You seem to think that is something that is earned. It's not. It's a right, not a privilege. No one gets to say whether or not they deserve it. Freedom of the press means they get to say these things, or not. You may not understand it, you may not like it, but that's what our laws say so that's how it is. Freedom of the press is Central to our government and people have lost their lives protecting that. People who think like you do are exactly what our constitution protects us from. All that said, the story not being run still isn't a free speech issue. It's a bad decision, and I agree that it calls their credibility into question, but that's separate from free speech. Again, you clearly have no understanding of our laws and our constitution. Just because it may seem logical to you, doesn't mean that it's right. Things are determined according to our constitution, which you have no clear understanding of. Much of what you say is in direct conflict with it. It may work in your country, but your country is vastly different from ours.
