ORIGINAL: JVoV First of all, you don't know me, or my life, and I don't owe that to you. But if you want to stay ignorant, have the fuck at it. Dude, I can promise you something. I might be stupid, but I sure as sh^t ain't ignorant. By definition, ignorance is a lack of education. I may not have 'book smarts' like you, but I do pretty well. Actually, ignorance is defined as a lack of knowledge or information; all of which is at your fingertips, should you choose to correct the situation so that you can make an informed opinion on the comedy being discussed. But you've chosen to judge the material without hearing or seeing it, which makes your opinion fairly bigoted and dishonest. quote:

Keep thinking that boys don't get molested. Men don't get raped. Males can't be sexually harassed in the workplace, or school. Where in the holy living f^ck did that come from? Do you really think there is another chick with home grown tits who HASN'T supported male victims more? Dude, just 'cause you got junk in the front, doesn't give you the corner on the market. So act like it. Because on this matter, you don't seem compassionate at all, and you seem to be ignoring the thousands of men that are saying #MeToo right along with you. quote:
quote:
Own that victim tag, cuz it works for you. I didn't like it worth a damn. I don't like it, either. It doesn't 'work for me'. If I could just not? That would be AWESOME. Therapy. Medication. Prayer. Meditation. Good coffee. Self-help books. Self defense classes. Mace on a keyring. Concealed weapons permit & some relaxing target practice. Bad things happen. We don't have to carry them with us forever. We don't have to be defined by them. quote:

And I don't even know where to start on comedians. Richard Pryor? George Carlin? Roseanne? Ellen DeGeneres coming out? Chris Rock? Harvey Fierstein? Yeah, no 'hard subjects' there. Well, we'll have to split the difference. You coming out as a gay man? I really do have a clue. but you have sexual orientation, and I have fault. I'm not going to talk to you about that. I didn't say a word about me coming out, so no clue wtf you're trying to say with that. When Ellen came out, it was a big fucking deal though. Comics of color take on racial issues. Comediennes take on women's issues. Gay comics take on gay issues. Also no clue what orientation/fault is about. That must be some more of that home grown tits support. Maybe you mean how much easier it is to go to the police as a gay man, to report being raped. Yeah, not so much. quote:
Let's talk about something else. Let's talk about why it's not funny. Seems to me, there are some folks out there who are doing this thing I call the 'vindication process'. And, it's great. It's great when people FINALLY believe you. Holy crud! That stuff you were saying for YEARS??? Well, somebody wrote an article. Now? You're valid. Now, you're seen. Oh, it wasn't enough when you said. Some journalist comes along, and it's all ok. I haven't seen that. I've seen rage trying to mask pain. I've seen guilt, mostly over the powerlessness to do more at the time. Relief that the story is finally out there, so the victim count can stop. And no forgiveness for anyone that was involved in the setups or the cover-ups.
